Sexton is a project no doubt but his upside is at least attainable.
Get my facts straight? Here ya go, straight facts:
10/21 @ CLE = 35 pts/ 11 assists on 56.5% shooting
10/30 @ CLE = 24 pts/4 assists on 69% shooting
12/29 vs CLE = 21 pts/9 assists on 50% shooting
That's the very definition of lighting a team up. Those are straight up all star numbers. So stop lying, it's not a good look for you.
Get my facts straight??? LOL!
In the first meeting he was chucking like a madman going 6-14 from deep and Sexton layed an egg in that one being mixed up with Lues **** switching schemes.
In the 2nd meeting Sexton owned him where Young only jacked up 4 open 3's when Sexton wasn't on him.
In the last meeting Burks was assigned to Young as he is a better defender at this point than Sexton and Young shot his average around 33% from 3.
The 2 he made were open looks.
The Cavs are terrible this season, so if you want to pump your chest with what you see from Young against them and think that is lighting it up when he misses almost every contested 3 he takes I don't know what to say. His defense is horrendous and if his numbers are only what you consider good against bad teams what does that tell you.
Chucking like a madman in the first game? He shot 56% in that game en route to 35 points along with 11 assists. That's not "chucking like a madman", that's called shooting very efficiently at a high volume and having a superstar quality game. What did Sexton do in that same game? Oh yea, 2/11 from the field for 4 points to go along with 2 assists.
Sexton owned him in the 2nd meeting???? By going 4/10 from the field for 17 points and 3 whopping assists? That's how you own a guy who in turn goes for 24 points on 69% shooting along with 4 helpers? I don't think you understand the definition of the word owned.
In the final meeting the Cavs finally realized that Sexton is such an awful defender he has no business being on Trae and they put Burks and Hood on him all game and Trae still got the better of Sexton with 21 and 9 on 50% shooting. What did Sexton do that game? 18 pts on more horrible shooting, 6/15, but at least this time he had 6 assists.
Cavs are terrible this season? What are the Hawks? Don't even try that excuse, both teams suck.
Face it, you're full of crap and it's basically an objective fact that Trae has DOMINATED the Cavs this year. You keep keying on 3pt% as if that is some end all be all, but you keep ignoring the obviously more important overall field goal %. Why is that? Could it be because Trae is 30/52 from the field against your team, shooting 58%. And throw in that he is averaging 8 assists against your team as well and you have a guy completely dominating your team and looking like an all NBA performer in the process.
Go ahead, keep trying to spin your BS, you're looking like a ridiculous homer fool on this one.
