Yeah, and it should be said Perry is still cleaning up past mistakes including those of Mills. Much as I have turned on Fiz (who probably will still be a lousy play calling coach even with a strong team), much of this season is transitioning from the past into the present. Now that the trades for the crappy vets happen (or don't), it should be greenlit to play the youngest ones the rest of this season. IOW, this season was going to be messy no matter what. It really is a process year if there ever was one for the Knicks. Some guys just want instant pudding though; KD jumping out of their birthday cakes and somehow that will = voila! a ring appears! Nah

Would you give up Frank just to get rid of Tim for an expiring contract and a second round pick?

If a deal nets $40-50mm in cap space plus a decent shot at pick 1-3, then the only real downside to “downgrading” Frank to DSJ is a team “culture” thing where the same-old same-old Knicks pull a 2010 and end up with Amare (Kemba) not LeBron (Durant).

Hes a young PG, so there is still time. They usually take more time to develop.

But can we just swap THJ and Wes?

Timmy, Mud for Wes works straight up....they can then use DSJ to go to a 3rd team to add another piece.....

Let's follow the logic: Frank sucks on offense, is all potential, if he has any there, plays defense, but kind of "so what?" and has been injury prone, at least to a degree.

Meh. I like Frank but this ain’t a tipping point deal IMO. There are a few levels that this makes sense on.

Mavs fan dont want to trade DSJ. The argument I see the most is DSJ is actually playing and producing while Frank can't produce on a 10 win team.

I was all upset when we didn’t draft Dennis Smith Jr. on draft night. It really pissed me off that Phil Jackson was allowed to make the pick and then was promptly fired after the draft. I like Frank but the way Fiz lets Mudiay play so much I believe Frank doesn’t fit his style of play.

I think DSJ is a better version of Mudiay with more upside. Why not?

DSJ has his issues, but he can still be a really good player. The talent is there.

Compared to Frank? They are totally different players so it’s hard to compare. I wouldn’t be surprised if either one ends up better in the end. Frank is further away at this point. DSJ still has upside though.

The Wes for Timmy part? That is a landslide and the tipping point.
