were basically selling low on Frank just to move Thjr which was a self imposed fault
ok, I get it for the youth and salary so fine I guess
and if Orl wants DSJ then Id be happy to send him there for Fournier
For example
Dallas:
Sends DSJ and Mathews
Gets Frank and THjr
Orl:
Sends Fournier and Ross
Gets DSJ, Lance Tomas and Courtney Lee
NY:
Sends Thomas, Lee, THjr and Frank
Gets Fournier, Ross, Mathews
we shed salary and IMO upgrade the SG position at the same time at the cost of Frank
Orl gets Smith and shores up their loss of Fournier with Lee and has Thomas as a cap balance. They actually shed long term salary
Dallas gets what they want
I'm with you, on the first part. Been reading nothing but poor reviews about dsjr with attitude and ****. So not want a guy like that at all, even just to shed Timmy's contract.
Are we really hoping the Knicks abandon the rebuild idea already? Shedding Timmy in hopes of signing Durant (nope, not happening), when, realistically, Knicks are gonna max out/overpay a few over the hill players?
Unless it's for a straight up player's expiring contract, stay the damn course.
Dsjr is not an upgrade over frank at this point. Dumping salary is moot because no one significant is coming. If they did, Knicks don't have enough firepower to be contenders now anyway, not with Philly and Boston being at the top the next few years.
Just dumb if this move happens
i very much disagree that its a forgone conclusion that no one comes here
even if its not Durant or Kawai we could very possibly offer a 20mil deal to Rozier and be smart to do so
and then there is Tobias Harris, Bledstoe and Khris Middleton all in the same boat
if Kawhai goes to LAC then Harris is going somewhere else
he's been very very solid this year
he and Rozier with KP, Knox and this years pick - say Reddish - makes a solid core to build on
Don't see Durant or kawhi coming here.
Don't think rozier at 20 would be good, but I'd like to see how mudiay pans out, and how much he'd look to get. Rozier would be better option tho.
I like Harris, and I could see him coming to NY to get paid, but also compete.
Bledsoe would just look to get paid.
Love the **** out of Middleton, and think he'd be great with KP. Don't see him leaving Milwaukee for any reason, tho. Think he wants to get paid but I see bucks giving him money before bledsoe
