And that looks cool on towns rookie deal. But should he be adjusted for his actually salary and that doesn’t look as awesome. But still impressive and positive

shrink wrote:So I was watching the new Netflix film, “High Flying Bird,” which is about when the owners locked out the players in 2011. Eighteen minutes in, I was shocked to see an interview with, you guessed it by where I posted, Karl-Anthony Towns.

“I think the biggest rookie mistake that you can make is being satisfied with making it. You know, the satisfaction of making the NBA is the night of the draft when you get drafted, the night after the draft, or the day after the draft I’ll even give the rookies, but there shouldn’t be no satisfaction when you get to work.

When you get to work, you’ve already had the glory, you’ve been been patted on the back enough about making it to the NBA. It’s time for work now. Now you have to fight to keep your job every single day, and being satisfied with making it and just running through the motions, is the biggest mistake any rookies can make.”

There is a thread on the Trade Board right now about trading KAT while his value is high. I think it’s ridiculous. I mentioned his offense, his character, his 5.5 years locked into his contract, and his incredible health. But the main reason we shouldn’t lose this guy is because of this attitude. This is a mature kid, who gets it. The reason he is so good now, and will get better, is that he understands being satisfied means stalling.

I hope Andrew Wiggins watches Netflix.

When national fans were ripping on him and some even said his poor defense was because he didn't care, I knew it was all BS. If you listened to him since he was drafted, it was pretty clear he genuinely cared about becoming great and is willing to put in the work needed to do so.

I still believe he has a good chance at MVP some day.

without KAT, we'll lose against the Knicks probably scoring only 50 points or something.

Im sure they will have to tie KAT to the bench or he is playing otherwise. He will do anything at his will to keep the streak alive.

How bad was the accident? I never got the details besides the concussion protocol.

Looks like it was a really bad one and KAT was pretty lucky to escape without any serious injuries-

So 5% chance to survive and only had a Concussion.

Alex I will take "Made up facts for $500 please"

I am glad he is alive, and nobody was seriously hurt. 5% would mean ventilator in COMA type of injury

Have you ever been rear-ended by a semi?

I was in a car hit by a semi in 1971 - only survived thanks to last-second maneuvers that mitigated the damage. Even so, my grandpa's huge Pontiac was completely destroyed. KAT was indeed very lucky.

he said that 5% chance of making it out alive with serious injuries, 1% chance of making it out alive with minor injuries...and he said he was lucky to come out of that 1%

Wtf - why is he driving around in a Hyundai Santa Fe? Our 9 figure franchise player should be driving around in something similar to a tank.

Towns has really come along this season after the Butler fiasco that clearly demoralized him.

I'm not sure you caught my sarcasm or I yours or not but I think I agree. 5% seems randomly used here except that Hyunday vs Semi. What are the expectations?

Aside from all that, I'm glad no one got really hurt too.

KAT continues to put up video game numbers. He's fighting the BS empty stats media talk. Will he make an all NBA team? The Anthony Davis thing might get him in, but I bet Davis makes one anyway. Embiid is going to get one unless he doesn't suit up the rest of the year. Vucevic is very deserving. Helping KAT is the Gasol disappearance since going to Toronto. Who are the other Center candidates?
