He may not be on the big stage like Morant and Williamson due to his 5th year HS status, but he's equally impressive IMO!
Gotta love the advice and wisdom KD is giving to the young talent!
He hasn't declared yet but we need him to.

He can play both forward positions defensively. Offensively, he can play 3-5, with or without the ball.

Not really sure that he can play SF in nba, his shooting from outside is easly worst part of his game.
He also isn't some advanced passer, despite ESPN trying to hype him up to be one, he actually has more TOs than assists.
As a C ,as rim protector his size will always be limiting factor.
Not saying he is bad prospect, he is clearly complete freak of nature from athletic POV but has some odd tools that make him unorthodox player.
That's why i said that maybe Morant goes first, it's simply easier to add great PG with advanced all around game, than build team around 6'7 center that needs ball in his hands and can't really shoot well.
Also he is what? 270 pounds? That's A LOT of weight for somebody who is 18. Can his body stay healthy? Can he control weight? Can he lose weight ? Will it make him more injury prone?

I'd say he will play at 4, his body is similar to Sir Charles'.

Not sure how Zion will translate to the NBA. Players are bigger, faster and stronger in the NBA. And, Zion almost always shoots with the left hand on drives. Even then he drives to the right, he tries to shoot with the left. As a small PF, he may get blocked too often. If he can develop a legitimate 3 point shot to keep defenders honest, then he can have a path on drives. I think he will be good, but I am fairly certain, in my personal opinion, that Zion will not be a star talent not being able to drive then put up shots with his right hand and not that good of any shot that isn't a layup or dunk while being too short to be a power forward except in small ball lineups. I think Morant will end up the best talent from this draft.

It will be interesting to see how Zion will translate into the NBA narrative. Being 6'6 and playing like a PF will not be highly accepted too quickly. He will need to make adjustments to his perimeter game as much as tendency to bulldoze his way into the post. He finds himself among the trees long enough, he will find some trouble down low. My suggestion is to perhaps redefine his approach to the game to that of a SF. Cutback his weight, develop more fundamentals, cut down on his TOs, and develop his perimeter game. That said, I believe he's a terrific player who shows capabilities to be a force in the NBA.

This is probably where the team picking 2 is breathing a small sigh of relief.
Still, Zion is fascinating. Highest PER ever recorded coming out of college.

There are some striking similarities between Berrett and Wiggins.... especially on defense and that shot selection.

I guess Barrett has more edge to him, but he is a risky pick.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

From a recent Bleacher Report article on Orlando and their draft needs.
The Magic rank dead last in free-throw rate—a failing that's dragging down an offense otherwise converting shots at or above league-average rates at the rim and from deep. With a defense that has been second-best in the league since Feb. 1, their needs are obvious. They must target shot-creators who put pressure on the defense and force opponents into disadvantageous positions. That's how you draw shooting fouls and, by extension, field a playoff-worthy offense.

That's because the Magic are still...

If we make the playoffs, we're gonna get punched in the face and go home crying to mommy.

I just saw on sportscenter that Giovany and I think the other ESPN NBA draft analyst is Schultz, They have Darius Garland #4 on their board and Jarrett Culver #5 with obviously Zion #1, Morant #2 and Barrett #3. So I guess that tells me if Garland or Culver is available at our pick that we should draft them.
Also what happens if Cam Reddish dropped down to our pick which I do think its possible cause he's gone downhill so there's concerns about him. I would pass on Reddish if he was available at our pick.

Crazy sad how poorly Reddish played this season. I don't question the talent as much as the dog in him. Doesn't seem like he has a killer instinct.
I would take Chuma Okeke ahead of him. Feel in love with him during the tournament.

I'm surprised Barrett leads this poll and not Ja.

Pure fantasy question:
Say we miss the playoffs but somehow win the lottery. Do you:
a) take Zion and look to trade some of BIG for backcourt help.
b) trade down for a future pick and take Ja.
c) trade the pick for a bonafide star player (not sure who that would be)

It is starting to look like the BPA types will be Romeo Langford / Sekou Doumbouya type of players. Wing depth on the bench is always valuable.

Washington I'll give you 1 + Fournier for your 9th pick and Beal.. would have to Imagine they'd bite on that. Get out of a little $ with Beal salary, get younger and tons of Hype with Zion, Fournier can play and then you tank hard in 2019-2020 (which is what they should do)
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

When is the draft lottery? After the playoffs end?
