That's.. actually a pretty good win for everyone involved. Beal is a '2 in bush vs 1 in hand' situation for Denver (Murry and what could be with MPJr) with Beal being better than the 2 combined. Obviously a win for us since we don't need rookies anymore, we need a PG with then us keeping Warren and JJ, and Wiz with upgraded young talent to get a high pick and hopefully either unload Wall or hope that he comes back at maybe ~80% capacity of what he was and they have a young core to help be competitive next season.
Seems cool, but I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't get the deal. Why wouldn't the Wiz prefer Murray as a long-term Beal replacement, and the second-best talent in the trade? For us, we need a PG, but Murray's a scorer, not a distributor or defender. We're trading basically our only good defensive rotation player for another guy who can't play defense. Obviously, it's great for us in terms of value, which just begs the question why the Wizards would agree to it.
Looks weird to me, so I too would only believe it when I see it.
I do think Denver is a team to watch for a big trade this summer. They have some pieces that could make sense to package for another star. I think they could be a dark horse AD landing spot.

Funny, aren't we supposed to get a really high draft pick this summer? Why aren't we a dark horse for AD?
