how is that lucky? Plus Curry is pretty good finishing around the basket as well.

Gasol on Bogut/Looney (whoever they start)
Kawhi on Draymond Green (Stop his playmaking)
Lowry on Iguodala
Green on Thompson
Siakam on Curry

If Thompson starts heating up then switch Kawhi and Green. If Curry heats up switch Kawhi with Siakam.

I like Siakam on Thompson or Curry. The length of siakam and Quickness can cause them problems.

I`d probably switch Siakam and Green.

Make Klay shoot over Siakam or force him to dribble the ball. I think he`ll have serious issues with P`s length and quickness. Pascal also can save a little more energy for offence in this matchup rather than chasing around Steph (not the Klay is an easy guy to go against, he's just not Steph)

On the flip side you get Danny and Kawhi thwarting the Dray/Steph PnR. I think their chemistry will be huge in those situations. Tell Danny/Norm to take the offence that comes to them, but use all the energy they have to make life as tough as possible on Steph. I also think telling Danny to make that his sole focus and to stop worrying about his shot might help him be a little more loose and in his own head a bit less. Kawhi can play off Dray a bit and be a free saftey of sorts, getting his hands in passing lands and getting out on the break. Dont guard Dray on the 3 line until he forces you too.

The thing that scares me is if Kerr decides to go small and starts Dray at C right off that bat. I think that basically neutralises Marc and forces us to go with with Serge to start, or even Pascal at C and go small. Boogie coming back and starting honestly works in our favour IMO.

There is no doubt Curry is an immense talent, however to me his reputation preceeds him on the court and allows him to mentally bend his opponents to his will. They know he can pull up at any moment (even if he is ice cold) so he always has his man on his hip. Then his deft handles and underrated first step allows him to get by and have an uncontested floater or layup due to the fact that if a next man steps up, he gets an easy assist whether its for the Green layup or for a Klay bomb.

Teams dont usually have the luxury to try and trap/get the ball out of his hands because as soon as you do, he kicks it to draymond who is smart enough to deal with the 3 on 2 situation.

However the Cavs still did this effectively mainly because the dubs release valves in Barnes, Iggy, etc stopped hitting shots as the series went on (2016). In addition to attacking Curry on offense every single team whether by switch, iso, or both.

IMO, our ideal matchups are -

Iggy - Lowry
Curry - Kawhi
Klay - Danny Green
Dray - Siakam
Looney - Gasol

I feel like game one is going to be as important as it gets. Even if you lose game 2.
Take game 1, and the mindset will be instilled into the players that winning the series can be a real thing. And the Warriors mindset will turn to, 'while we're still confident, we know we can lose this series too'.

Good luck guys. I really hope something special happens here.

2004 - Pistons unexpectedly upset the Lakers
2011 - Mavs unexpectedly upset the Heat

Almost the same amount of years later and the Raptors are in the finals...

Looks like SAS backtracked lol but I agree with his latest stance. KD's absence will obviously be a huge factor in the series, Cousins will be a little bit less imo. At least he now acknowledges that we won't be a pushover for GS. I've also likened Kawhi's game to that of Tim Duncan's. Love his demeanor and competitive spirit!

ABC and ESPN are under the same umbrella, aren't they? Probably got told by his bosses to stop with the clickbait/trolling type of hot takes, and try to get fans hyped about the series.

Blazers gave up 17+ point leads in games 2, 3, & 4.
That ain't happening against the Raptors.
I think the Raptors are going to win both games 1 & 2 at home and jump out a 2-0 lead.
But the series won't start until a road team wins.

I haven’t seen it done in the last few years. But we should totally do something like that.
