If they are not bringing back DLo, they will renounce and it will be a cap clearing move to clear space for two max guys like Kyrie, Durant...
So probably the easiest thing to do would be to waive and stretch Tyler Johnson. That should get close to max space. Then you might need to do one more by renouncing one of our free agents and/or trading JJ/TJ. If you wanted to keep Tyler, we'd have to trade both TJ and JJ into space or one of them and renounce Oubre.
They are expected to try to trade away crabbe which could end up opening up 18 mill in cap space. It is possible for them to have around 50 million in cap space while still having Russells 21 million cap hold. They S&T trade for TJ and a future 1st and gain an additional 10 million in cap space. So roughly 60 million in cap space while keeping a core of Allen, Harris, Dinwiddie, Levert, TJ Warren. I believe Kyrie will be around 33 million starting so that leaves them about 27-28 mill left. I believe it would be beneficial for Nets to explore S&T options if they sign Kyrie.
I think they need around $70 for KD/Kyrie. Without DLo's cap hold they have in the mid 50s....so just to get up above that 70 they need to still trade Crabbe into space in addition to renouncing DLo. They may be able to take back small salary, but not much.

I might be wrong but I thought I read they could reach about 54 million by trading crabbe and keeping the hold. If we really want to get creative and there is Dloading interest we should 3 way call Pels and Nets to see if a 3 way can be worked out for Russell to Suns, AD to Nets and a package including 4 1st rd picks(1 from Suns, 1 from Bucks, 2 from nets), TJ Warren, Levert, Jarrett, Melton, draft rights to pels. If Kyrie leaves I dont know if theres interest from AD to Boston and they might not want to deal with Lakers. Also I'm assuming/hoping Griffin and Jones have a soft spot for each other from their cavs days lol.
