Have you ever heard Kawhi speak before?
The dude shows no emotion for anything and his answers most of the time are awkward and give little to no insight.
What you posted tells me absolutely nothing about his 'emotional investment' when this guy never shows emotions.
You must’ve misread my post somewhere or it came off the wrong way to you.
Frankly my point was I have no f*cking clue where Kawhi goes, sounds like you’re sure he takes the max to stay in Toronto. What makes you think that?
If anything he can win this chip and bounce somewhere else.
Why?
He says himself it's all about winning titles. The Raptors are about to win one.
The Raptors can easily get back to the Finals next year. He can sign a 2 year extension at max money and keep his options open again down the line.

\22. In last year’s Finals, it looked and sounded and felt like LeBron was about to leave Cleveland. He did. The Warriors have all but openly embraced that this is Durant’s last season here. Durant, for what it’s worth, has refuted the last part.

The sources are saying Kyrie is favored to go to the Nets. There has not been any sources about Durant going to the Nets, only the garbage on the General Board. I thought it was pretty clear that the Knicks didn't want Irving unless it got them Durant. Irving might have taken that as a slight, but that's another issue. Nets might be the only team willing to give Irving a full max and make him their #1.
But why would Kevin Durant return? Lettuce be real, it's pretty obvious:
1) He gets to return and prove to the fans that the Warriors do need him
2) More money
3) His chance of winning more championships is still greatest with staying with Golden State than any other team.

I'm a bit confused. Why are other FAs upset? Not that I think KD is a lock (I'm an experienced Knicks fan), but anyone have any ideas about what it means to them?

And I’m starting to wonder who Durant can get as a running mate in the scenario Durant chooses the Knicks
Kawhi- finals win / does he even want to pair up
Klay- he’s Curry’s teammate to the end
Kyrie- seems to want Brooklyn
Kemba- maybe possible but not if Charlotte offers that super max
Butler - has a golden opportunity in philly and if he leaves rumored to have wanted to play with Kyrie in the past
After those guys. Who else is available
Tobias ? Middleton ?
They are not the ones to sign to a big deal as a running mate

A lot of assumptions there when you don’t know what any of these guys are thinking and when rumors change every 4 days. You say stuff like “Butler has a golden opportunity in Philly” as if they didn’t get bounced before the ECF. He’s essentially in the same position as Kyrie. They’ll do what they want, regardless of outside opinion.
Also, you left Anthony Davis out.
