I don't see how he doesn't end up on the Lakers, even Bill Simmons agrees.
Unless a team comes out of nowhere and offers the farm for AD (a desperate team similar to Toronto last year for Kawhi), the Lakers hold all of the leverage in an AD trade. Boston is bluffing and would be idiotic to trade Tatum + assets for a 1-year rental of Davis. Kyrie is going to Brooklyn. New York is now hesitant to trade for Davis because Davis wants to team up with another superstar. Kemba Walker isn't that, as good as he is. Davis wants to play with James of the Lakers. The Lakers can offer the most because they're the most confident he'll re-sign long-term.
A combination of Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, Hart, the 4th pick, future picks, Wagner, Bonga and Caruso for Davis should get the job done. Lakers might have to absorb more salary than they wanted to with Davis' contract, so they probably won't have enough for Jimmy Butler or Tobias Harris. Someone like Nik Vucevic, Al Horford, or JJ Redick seem much more realistic.
