What’s truly funny to me is that after a whole year of hearing how poisonous the locker room was and how dysfunctional the team was, the only player who has PUBLICLY said he may want to leave is Rozier. Everyone else besides him and Kyrie seem to want to stay Celtics.
I’m back and forth on bringing Morris back, part of me says it’s time to part ways, then part of me remembers when he was one of our best players last season, then part of me remembers when he wasn’t again.
The biggest issue I don’t want to deal with this coming season is this team not having defined starters. As it is I’m concerned, especially if you bring Rozier back, how we will define our starters. In my estimation these players are all in the starters equation:
Al, Tatum, Jaylen, Hayward, Baynes, Smart and Rozier.
If you bring back Morris, I doubt he’s looking to play off the bench. I think it would be a really poor move to think we can do another even half season of musical starters after last year. So How do you come up with a solid starting 5 and keep everyone happy.
It’s tough cuz you just don’t know what Hayward is gonna look like and his value is crap. So find the best deal for brown?
