Trade scenarios that would make us a better team but not close or even competitive against the three top in the east if Kahwi stays. Moving from 8th to 4th while being an improvement isn’t anything to get excited about, especially when what we would be trading is our ability and effectiveness to rebuild, kicking the inevitable can several more years down the road.
Rebuilding is more than a respectable option, it’s the only option offering us real hope of putting together an entertaining and successful team. This team is far too flawed to be going all in on anything other than the rebuild. If anything I think the past decade plus of trying to rebuild on the fly has shown us that it’s a formula destined to fail here and it’s time to place our priorities else where.
Team ain't rebuilding no matter how loud whiners whine. I reckon we have to suffer through complainers and rebuilding conspriacists for the next 2 years before rebuilding becomes the option if this team doesn't make it to the next level.
Team ain’t competing for more than the 4th seed at best no matter how loud whiners whine. This team **** sucks, we barely made the playoffs and we are capped out. Every single credible NBA analyst reiterates the same. Do you ever read articles or listen to any NBA podcasts? dunc’d on? The Lowe post? The ringer? Not a single analyst has said anything close to us being a good team, or having anything other than a bleak outlook. I know for a fact those guys have far more knowledge and resources than us, not to mention they also speak to team personnel. So you’re now criticising me because I’m agreeing with the professional consensus? You didn’t even counter the points I’m making and instead attacked my post simply because I’m a rebuild advocate and you clearly aren’t. How about you add value to the discussion and do what nobody in the win-now camp has done and explain how wasting resources (trading picks or expiring contracts) equates to a good thing when there’s no way in hell we are even close to the top 3 in the east, our team would be heavily dependant on older injured players, and will only hurt out chances of having a successful rebuild.
The problem is that there will be no rebuild for at least 1 to 2 more years. Yet, people can only post about futile rebuild dreams. I suggest playing NBA2k because that is the closest you will get.
