Conley (32) / Mitchell (16) / Wright-Foreman
Mitchel (20) / Exum (16) / O'Neale (12) / Vet Min
Ingles (32) / O'Neale (16) / Oni
Favors (12) / Niang (16) / Exception (24) / Brantley
Gobert (32) / Favors (16) / Bradley
Conley 32, Mitchell 32, Ingles 28, Exum 20, Niang 12 Royce 30, Favs 28, Gobert 32.
That’s 214 of the 240 minutes we need to cover. We have the bulk covered. With some worries.
What we need in order of preference IMO is a small ball PF, wing, then ball handler (esp if we keep neto). Niang shoots very well so if he can play decent defense I’d be happy to see him get 12 or so mins a night.
I’d also wager money that Royce is our starting SF and Ingles gets to go back to sixth man and lead the second unit. He needs more off ball action to get his shooting numbers back up. Plus he is a little older and he plays so well with Favs that I think he will be out first substitution.
Start Conley, Donny, Royce, Favs and Gobert. Conley and Gobert will come out and Exum and Ingles will come in.
Then it will be Donny, Exum, Royce, Ingles, Favs.
Then the third substitution will be Donny, Royce, Favs checking in and Conley and Gobert coming back in.
This is the lineup that worries me...,Conley, Exum, Ingles, Niang, Gobert. We need insurance for Niang and Exum. They could be great, they could be injured, or in Niangs case not able to play solid enough defense.
A couple big wing players could really help in that third unit or in the case of an injury.
