Not a fan of backing up the brinks truck for Russell, as far fetched as it would be to make it happen.
His 3 point shot is wet, and there are times he can get incredibly hot from deep.
Other than that, I don't see anything above average from him, and there have been character/dedication question marks.
If someone give him 25 mil+ a year, that's going to be a bad contract before christmas.
Our lack of playmaking in the backcourt was painfully obvious last year.
Okogie looked bad when he tried to do too much and Wiggins looked bad when he tried to do just about anything at all.
Teague and Tyus were nearly as bad as Rubio when it came to finishing or being a threat to stretch the floor.
Rosas is an outside the box thinker. the inside the box thing to do is fill your weakness by bringing in a known quantity from outside the organization, which always costs a premium.
The outside the box thinker will try to hit a homerun by developing a lesser valued asset. By changing the scheme to exploit your strengths and cover your weakness.
I think we are going to see a much different offense next year, and KAT will be the focus. More Jokic style action, dribble handoffs, baseline pick and cutting action with KAT at the high post. Culver fits that pretty well.
I really liked the tape of Jaylin Nowell that I've watched, especially his jumper, he has a great stroke and perfect mechanics.
He also has an NBA body, handle, and athleticism. I think we are going to try to turn him into a scoring PG.
I could see him getting backup PG minutes next year.
If we are going to turn things around, it isn't going to be by mortgaging the future for a known quantity.
It is going to be by finding diamonds in the rough and turning them into positive players on the court.
Draymond green, key piece on multiple title team, 2nd round pick.
Ginobli, Parker, Butler, Marc Gasol, Siakam, on and on. Guys who werent valued coming into the league.
