Rudy Gay got a 1 year $10M deal last offseason with the Spurs.

Maybe that's the barometer?

Rudy Gay was almost a decade older and was coming off an Achilles injury.

Rudy Gay had 10 years of remarkably steady production, and the year he tore his Achilles was his 2nd best year in defensive rebounding. Rudy's career numbers compare well with Caron Butler, Nico Batum, Robert Horry. If their med staff said he would make a full recovery then its a fair gamble. Rudy gets the benefit of the doubt.

Jabari couldn't get minutes on a bottom feeding Chicago team. Jabari's similarity score comparisons are: basically nobody you remember, plus Andrew Wiggins. There is no benefit of any doubt that Parker has earned. He has earned the doubt without the benefits.

Why would we need to use the MLE on Thomas? They’ll just sign him with Bird rights

More of a question... on how the MLE works. Both Sato and Thomas would fall under Bird rights.

The full quote makes it sound like he isn’t into the ringchasing mindset. There’s more to life than winning a ring.

I think Brad’s personality is more like Damian Lillard than a Kyrie or Anthony Davis. He’d rather stick it out in DC than jump teams.

I think he might want to ringchase later in his career but he seems pretty comfortable for the time being. If he signs the extension this summer it’ll be up when he’s 30yo and he can take stock of the league and his personal goals.

If elfrid Payton can stay healthy he might be a decent pick up. I also like bringing temple back at the vet min as a locker room guy. Boogie would be cool at MLE money but I'm worried about his health and if we get him what does that mean for us parting with wall

They seem to think the market for Jabari Parker is really weak. They were throwing around 1-year $8M as a possible contract. I don't see it. I think he gets at least the MLE for at least 2 guaranteed years.

Honestly, whatever the market is, I just do not understand why we should have any interest in Jabari Parker. He's certainly not any kind of productivity bargain at $8-10m.

I really don't think I have some kind of blind spot -- e.g. I don't dislike the guy. But, along with whatever he does that's good comes everything else he does. You don't get one without the other. Of course, a person can imagine getting the good from Jabari, while he sheds the bad stuff. But, there's no more reason for it to go down in that way than for him to do more of the bad & less of the good.

Jabari's not new to the league. He's played over 7300 minutes. Milwaukee didn't give him a qualifying offer. Chicago couldn't wait to get rid of him after only a few months. Are we going to be the ones who double down on Jabari Parker? Because we have such a stable franchise?

Bradley Beal is such a quality guy. I love that he is committed to working with young players in his AAU affiliation. I honestly would appreciate it if he were more involved in the front office, and all the way down to the G league, or even sponsoring an AAU team and camps under the umbrella of the Wizards. He’s a basketball Lifer and I hope he has influence over the team even well past his playing years. Good guy. Plays the right way. Good head on his shoulders. Loyal. Mindset that his team is his family.

I hate Demarcus Cousins. But this team is so devoid of high level talent, that desperation is setting in. Just bring him in. Maybe he has a good half-season, and you can move him for a pick.

I hate Demarcus Cousins. But this team is so devoid of high level talent, that desperation is setting in. Just bring him in. Maybe he has a good half-season, and you can move him for a pick.

How in God's name could you have two past their prime former All-Star centers with huge egos in Boogie and Howard, unless you cut Dwight before the season. They couldn't co-exist in today's game. Unless they think Bryant's price will be too high. Even then, I still don't want Cousins.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that came up in their meeting before the trade deadline. Leonsis may have even put possible part ownership on the table for Brad. He can be a Paul Pierce of this generation and stick it out with his franchise through the ups and downs.

Yea I would cut Dwight Howard. His career is basically over IMO.

Trust me; I wouldn't like it at all. But desperate times call for desperate measures. This team lacks talent, and Cousins, despite his terrible attitude, is talented.

That would be the silliest thing this franchise has ever done if that were true.

Stop fawning over these players. They are chess pieces. NO, they should not be involved in front office moves, or given ownership stake in the team. Stop the mom-and-pop nonsense.
