Houston has a Capela trade in place in case they can bring Butler. What team do you think is the partner? I'd say it's Sacramento.

Would you be amazed if we re-sign Fournier to a 80M/4-year deal next offseason if he opts-out?
for what he has shown, i would call it a mistake.
Whatever word is worse than a mere mistake is what that would be.

that wouldnt be a bad move at all for Sacramento, depending on what they are giving up (just cap space or more)

Agreed, I expect it to be cap space + some protected picks.

Yes.
Well, so it was an expected move, no news here. They had to play safe in case KD and Irving don't join them.

For a team that is not interested in taking steps backward, he had the leverage to get this deal. If this deal descends like AG's, then it's a good deal.
look out. if you dont call it amazing, the torches and pitchforks come out.
What’s the chance Vuc doesn’t become an allstar again after he inks this contract? Can’t believe there’s a chance we’ll be watching this guy for a decade of sub par Magic basketball.

The GB are fans of the reported offer as well. Hopefully he accepts. Would be sad to see him go. But would still cheer him on wherever he goes.

His first round exit with team will put him up there with player that fans still drool on, who was " one of greatest ever<" and who also never passed first round with Magic- T mac.
In reality , unlike any other big time player for Orlando Magic who turned into allstar, VUčević is only player in Magic history that did not ask for trade after he become " famous".

I suspect it's going to take more than a 100 million offer for Vuc to turn down the magic's offer... and I'm not seeing any team willing to offer that.

This craters both the value of Bamba and Vuc being a 4 year deal. If Bamba starts to become the star people think he can become, Vuc is making a giant sum of money to be a back-up, so teams won't offer anything for him. If Bamba is just good and playing behind Vuc, no one will offer anything for Bamba because they know he is stuck behind Vuc. Horrible plan.

Actually there's a very good chance he holds form and there are some solid indicators that he'll improve his effectiveness:

Nailed it. You allegedly plan on paying Vuc $22.5m a year for 4 years while Bamba rookie contract value disappears entirely. On the flip side, Vuc would have fetched way more on the market prior to this season because of his contract. Bad move either way.

No it doesn't.
First Bamba needs to show he can handle back up minutes, much less starter minutes and "star" designation.
If he does start showing that type of skill, that certainly isn't making his value drop.

No he didn't. That's terrible logic.
