Instead of going after DLo we are going after Randle? DLo would bring much more impact than Randle. Develop Knox at the 4, why are we putting a premium on 4s if it's not an elite one? I don't care if Vonleh plays the 4, Knox could/should be groomed to play it, there are guys on the cheap who can cover the 4 spot. We got **** guards and still keep ignoring it meanwhile there's a chance to go get one of the better ones in the league at a very young age with room to get better.

This Randle signing would be THJ part 2

DLo is THJr part 2 as well

DLo is an All Star who lead his team to the playoffs and proved, even if it was just one year (he's still only 23) that he's capable of carrying the weight. Tell me when has THJ ever carried his team anywhere as the main guy? DLo is closer to Kyrie than he is to THJ

Goes to show the ownership/management angle is overblown...their situation is worse than ours...but it’s 75 degrees year round

Knicks should put MSG up on stilts and then maybe they can take advantage of global warming in 20 years.

Tired of this sh*t that the only draw in NYC is some kind of Merchant\Banker tie in.

Just fold the f*cking Knicks already and create The JPMorganChase Bankerballers.
They can use their own name for their own Arena. I dunno, let them buy MSG and tear out all the seats and fill it with luxury boxes only for corporate clients. Set up a hedge fund in one corner where players can short some company during timeouts.

Like, just get it over with and get to the point.

The NY Bankerballers is a GREAT name for a franchise. Just saying.

One all star game, as a replacement. We don't need to get into the list of "ok" players who made an allstar team.

DLo COULD be worth every penny. It's a risk. It's a similar risk to Randle. They both could be THJr 2.0. Or both not.

DLo was 24/8 the day the calendar year changed, did it without LeVert or Dinwiddie. 2nd best player was arguably Joe Harris. Dude deserves 20 mil per at his age.

Signing KD for 40 million and no one else.

That's an epically bad move, akin to bad Knicks moves of the past. Note the word "akin". Similar, not the same.

It gets better if KD brings along Kyrie
It get awesome if KD brings in Kawhi

By itself? Bad.

One angle is KD's agent, Rick K, wants FO input. Which, if KD was PLAYING, and still an elite star when he returns (very much in doubt), then fine.

What, now KD and Rich will be calling shots while KD rehabs his knee and explores business ventures? I don't think that's a good idea.

i disagree. I like the scenario with KD and nobody else.

Use the year to develop the young guys, and pick up another high pick. Use cap space to pick up some draft picks and/or young players. By this time next year we will have a lot of ammo to go out and make some moves to improve the team.

Disaster is a strong word, but I think it's a bad move. And this is from someone who always liked the idea of signing FA's, and keeping all the kids (within reason) to develop.

You are ok with KD + another star, but not ok with just KD?

Heres the thing. With KD on the shelf theres not even an immediate rush to bring in another star. Whats the difference if we bring in the star in '20 or '21?. It could be an advantage in that we could get a top pick to add to the core next year.

I think if we play that card right we could be set up realky nice short and long term. Durant could be the guy to help our young guys learn how to win

very solid backup

The Mavs should target him, actually.

KP needs a dirty work C/PF type, as his effete ass doesn't really like to mix it up.

Assuming you knew that we weren't going to get any of the top tier free agents this summer, what, if anything, would you do differently if you were Perry/Mills?

Magic underpaying for Vucevic. We offer 4 years at 120 mil. Hes young and talented and the magic aint going nowhere. He would get a LOT of recognition in MSG.

We don’t like him for the Knicks

Possible scenario. I think FA money should be used to go all in, and that means at once. With KD, it's go "half in", wait a year, hope for the best and hope KD recovers to 90%.

Not really sold on the idea.

Mostly, any desire I have at seeing KD a Knick now, is so the year long rumors happen so the team and it's fanbase don't look like total chumps.
