If they do sign Randle I'm gonna laugh. They gave great interviews and promised they would do it right and not go after guys who aren't top tier but if they flip around and sign Randle it's gonna be hilarious and sad.

Instead of going after DLo we are going after Randle? DLo would bring much more impact than Randle. Develop Knox at the 4, why are we putting a premium on 4s if it's not an elite one? I don't care if Vonleh plays the 4, Knox could/should be groomed to play it, there are guys on the cheap who can cover the 4 spot. We got **** guards and still keep ignoring it meanwhile there's a chance to go get one of the better ones in the league at a very young age with room to get better.

One all star game, as a replacement. We don't need to get into the list of "ok" players who made an allstar team.

DLo COULD be worth every penny. It's a risk. It's a similar risk to Randle. They both could be THJr 2.0. Or both not.

DLo was 24/8 the day the calendar year changed, did it without LeVert or Dinwiddie. 2nd best player was arguably Joe Harris. Dude deserves 20 mil per at his age.

Most disastrous scenario in FA for the Knicks is:

Signing KD for 40 million and no one else.

That's an epically bad move, akin to bad Knicks moves of the past. Note the word "akin". Similar, not the same.

Heres the thing. With KD on the shelf theres not even an immediate rush to bring in another star. Whats the difference if we bring in the star in '20 or '21?. It could be an advantage in that we could get a top pick to add to the core next year.

I think if we play that card right we could be set up realky nice short and long term. Durant could be the guy to help our young guys learn how to win

Possible scenario. I think FA money should be used to go all in, and that means at once. With KD, it's go "half in", wait a year, hope for the best and hope KD recovers to 90%.

Not really sold on the idea.

Mostly, any desire I have at seeing KD a Knick now, is so the year long rumors happen so the team and it's fanbase don't look like total chumps.
