His handle and finishes were otherworldly, his three ball (esp. when he stopped and popped) so pure, and he was clutch so many times. He even dug in on D a few times and threw some beautiful passes. Thought we were going to dethrone the Warriors with him and Al and the kids, I really did. Too bad everything went completely to ****. I’ll never forget the first time we heard him speak to the media when we were like ‘wait, what?’ But so it goes. We grew apart, Kyrie. And now, we grow, apart. Good luck on your journey through this life with an instagram full of Illuminati stuff and a Friends tattoo on your forearm and Jarrett Allen instead of Al Horford. Thanks for sitting out all those games against the bad teams, that was fun, and for not showing up for game 7 of the ECF to root in your teammates against LeBron because apparently that’s the only time you could get your nose operated on, and then the next year for telling us the playoffs were all that mattered and then completely **** the bed in the playoffs. See you in Brooklyn except you’ll probably duck us and that’s cool.
We’ll always have that ad you made with your dad on our court, before he told you to come home to play and you were like yup.
Kyrie is not half the player KG was. Or three-quarters of Paul Pierce.

You are 100% correct. I probably should have said ‘skilled’ rather than ‘talented’. I definitely did NOT mean ‘best’!

You too are 100% correct. I’ve never seen a guy, including Larry Bird, get so much from his skill level despite mediocre athletic ability. That Bird did it as a 6-10 SF is less surprising because to be that skilled and that big..... is so rare that we are talking Dirk, KD, Magic and Lebron rare. For Kyrie to be able to get by multiple defenders and finish at rim over elite shot blockers mainly because he is a master of deception, literally dribbles as if ball is on a string and is a master of changing angle of his shot at an instant.....is truly amazing. How many little guys have ever done that without Rondo like speed or Westbrook like explosiveness?
Unfortunately, all that skill doesn’t necessarily make him a good teammate, a leader or a true #1 guy. But it’s still pretty amazing to watch. And I’m a hater.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
