You're probably in the 10 percentile.

Many of us weren't willing to give up Culver for the privilege of overpaying Russell.

Count me in this category too. I like D'Lo as much as anyone but I'm really curious about Culver's do-all ability and how it would fit here.

If there's any major sting from today, it's that the possibility of a Wiggins trade, however small, was on the horizon.

Weird that the Warriors would pay the max for a player who might end up as a one-year replacement for Klay when they have to worry about paying Klay and Green, but I'm guessing they know what they're doing. :-?

Yeah, no crap. The belief was we would be breaking even or winning wasn't it? That doesn't involve coughing up a 1rst rounder

We won't be a bottom five team.

But a team with no Russell, no Wiggins, and no Teague might be.

Because it is Junior high level thinking. Things happen fast in Free Agency. I posted this before, but here goes again.

Rosas: Dlo we really like your game and want you on our team.
Dlo: Great I would love to join you and play with my BFF KAT
Rosas: Just one little tiny insignificant thing. We don't have the money to pay you so we need you to just wait around until we can figure out a way to get it.
Dlo: Dialing the phone. Ring/Ring Warriors you know I think I would like to join you after all. Can you pay me.
Warriors: Iggy pack your bags...………..

You stay in the game as long as you can, otherwise you’re not really even trying. I can’t blame Rosas for trying to make the team better and I can’t blame him for not pulling off something that would have been very difficult. This wasn’t an easy situation.

Oh it could have been much easier than this.

I think they would’ve still done it. People forget that this is still a business and you don’t let assets go out the door without getting something of value, especially a player with value like Durant. The Warriors can flip Russell at any time for another asset. But come December 15th, the can send him wherever they want without his permission. For all we know, they may have made the move just to keep him from us as a Western conference challenger for the playoffs. Without Klay and Durant, the playoffs weren’t exactly a lock for them this year. Russell might just be a rental until Klay returns, then they can decide what the need to make a run and trade Russell.

In 2015, Kat went #1 to us. Dlo went #2 to Lakers. Both players took some time to grow up and become, but they have.

We could have sold an unprotected first with Wiggs and I wouldn't have cared, because Dlo is a top draft pick. I don't care about what we are losing with what was put into Wiggins. We've all long ago realized that as a mistake we aren't getting back.

Wiggins gone cleared the room instantly for Dlo and they have to take no cap back. It would have been done. Could have went through this season with Teague backing up Russell and maybe even moved Teague at deadline. Dieng for one more season wouldn't have killed us and one more year off his deal makes him easier to move next year. They needed to only focus on Wiggins and Nothing else.

All this fake chatter forced into the media about other teams will to take Wiggins on even deal or even offer value back was all a fake waste of time.

Failure again.

How long have you been a Wolves fan? It is entirely possible Rosas is that stupid.

Yes it is possible, but when did he become stupid? The minute he signed with us. He was supposedly very smart before.

All indications are that Durant made the decision today. Interesting thing is that the Warriors took a couple players off the Nets hands to make the deal so they are not only paying Russell the Max they are paying other crappy players as well.

Durant to Nets was announced as done on Wednesday tho?

How niave to think one unprotected first is all it would take to move Wiggins right now lol
The bum needs to build up his stock somehow.

Any team willing to take on Wiggins for cap space is foolish, no matter how many draft picks you pile on.

What's the bad trade? All the crazy moves they were trying to do? Yes. Wolves are in a rotten place and they knew it last year and it was only getting worse this year when they couldn't afford everyone. They had to start making one at a time moves back then. Even this year. Just make one move at least.

if this played out the way it seems we never had a chance. My proposed conversation was likely accurate.

That's not entirely true at all. Wiggins can play at a certain level just fine. He's been doing it for many years now. There is no danger of him being a zero on the floor. He is usable. If you add value with pick or picks a rebooting team can use those picks for cheap talent during the years of his contract. That's what the Wolves don't have. We don't have extra picks, haven't had extra picks. So we were adding overpaid FAs to fill out and try to do something. It maxed the teams space out. It got us to the playoffs and then exploded. Now the wolves have to pay their dues to clean up the mess. Wiggins doesn't work for us because we've left our own cupboards bare. That's not the same for a rebooting team getting additional cheap assets and one that has plenty of cap room.
