No wonder we are looking for trades... nothing there would put us over the top.

Stretching Anderson would be such a bad move. Curse of Tyler Johnson contract being around for even more season. Re-signing him was the worst decision the Heat have made in recent history.

I know I have said that before, but just look at what the Heat accomplished after his re-signing: 2 seasons of missing the playoffs, one first round exit, Ryan Anderson, and now possibly Ryan Anderson payment for multiple seasons.

But far better than not signing Butler.

Yeah, but if you have someone on the payroll that is not on the roster for multiple seasons, you hurt the team long term. The team this year is not going to the finals or even the ECF’s. If you give the Heat some cap space next offseason or even the offseason after that though, they have a chance. Heat don’t need Anderson on the payroll messing things up.

But he is on the payroll, even if you just cut him.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Depending on how expensive he gets, I'd use a small part of the MLE on Delon Wright if we move Goran.. he'd be a solid backup PG to Winslow and would add to our family culture

I mentioned this before, but I think we're close to building a team similar to the 2000 Trail Blazers or the 04 Pistons. These two were defensive teams with well-balanced scoring. It's all going to come down to chemistry, Spo, and the young player's development.
