Honestly, CP3 can't even stay on the court and has been sh*t a lot of times when he is the past seasons that I actually think shipping him and getting Westbrook is actually a good thing. At the very least, you can get some rest for Harden who has been carrying this team, which was supposed to have 2 superstars with him and CP3.

Plus is Russ not close friends with Harden? I don't see them fighting over the ball if that's the case.

Where did those WCF trips end up getting Harden? He's a massive choker that plays no defense and gets his points from flopping. I don't even know why you would be mad, Westbrook is a massive upgrade over Chris Paul and you basically just swapped contracts.

Should Utah have traded Stockton for Mark Jackson cause they kept making the finals and couldn't beat MJ? presti capitalizing on desperation

Presti knows what he's doing.

Draft picks are great if you can actually find success with them. Of course that isn't easy just look at the Celtics. For all the draft picks they had they just have Brown and Tatum to show for it and a bunch of picks flushed down the toilet.

And he will get those 2-3 good players. He drafts pretty well. OKC will rebuild and rather well.

Seriously. It's pretty rare you say a trade is definitively bad for both sides. But I don't know how else to describe this. However, Houston did rid themselves of CP3's albatross contract so that's something.

Amazing. That was my first reaction, I don’t like it for either team.

Paul is a much better shooter than Westbrook, so it was an easier fit for Houston . Harden will have to relinquish the ball to Westbrook too, Harden must have hated CP3 a ton, that he was willing to accept this.

The situations couldn't be more different Chris Paul actually has a basketball brain and can adapt his game Westbrook can't .
If you were given an options of pairing any second star in the league with James harden and his game then Westbrook would be a runaway leader of worse possible option. Their games dont mesh well at all, this has disaster written all over it

From a pure value perspective Houston hit a home run, absolutely no question. The only thing in question is fit and that’s the coaches job to figure out. I commend Morey for making this move, he’s probably the only GM in the league that could trade that albatross of a contract.

Don’t get it at all for OKC, like I completely understood trading Westbrook so you could fully invest in your newly acquired PGOTF but this trade simply contradicts that. Not only did you trade for a worst contract which is 4 years older than WB, but you’re now hampering the development of your PGOTF for picks that more than likely will only result in low end rotation players.

Like I get the whole hoard picks and asset accumulation, but this will look like a poor mans version to what transpired in Boston minus Jayson Tatum.

And the absolute worst thing you could take from this trade is that Presti still feels extremely confident that he will have his job for the foreseeable future which is LOL.

Funny thing too is that OKC tried to justify to the fans that Paul George demanded a trade so they had to react quickly, okay cool. Then reports came out that they will look to trade WB for the inevitable rebuild, GREAT I’m following.
