yeah i'm sold on Kanter and honestly I have been for a while. Always appreciated his spirit. Boston will love him. I haven't seen this kind of fan courtship by a new player in a long while. Probably not since Jason Terry was pounding pavement on a citywide social media tour introducing himself to fans. Isaiah I guess did it in a different way by getting ejected in his first game against the Lakers lol

I think he'll mostly fit well for us on the court too, but either way I think he was pretty obviously the best option given our tough situation after Horford left

It seems the hype and expectations for Kanter exceed the level of "basically the same contract as Theis'".

I like this guy. He has advocated for democracy and is being targeted by a politician who is considered by many a dictator. Kanter wasn't afraid to express his views and by doing so was made into a target.

He is probably the player with the biggest non basketball impact out there.

Plus what he said for number 11

It's fine if he can become a threat from outside. I just hope they don't overdo it. That would be counter to his one major strength which is offensive boards/putbacks.

Kanter has been a good ft shooter throughout his careers, which is a reliable indicator of someone who can shoot open 3s successfully with practice. I can see him in the mid 30s percentage wise, maybe higher in time.

Never seen a 5 million dollar player get a pre season press conference like that
I wonder if it has anything to do with Kanter wearing #11 ? Thinking Ainge did to send a message to Kyrie that we don’t need him which I absolutely love !

I would rather he focused more on getting his defence better rather than worrying about 3 point shooting. He’s a great offensive rebounder so while being able to shoot 3s at a decent percentage will be nice I don’t think it’s as important as making sure he becomes at least a ‘decent’ defender.

Enes might be the first player to have his number retired before he even plays a game.

Hopefully it will not be a zero sum game, and he can do both.

Whoever put this together was taking shots at our ex-Celtics players! They went easy on Theis.

Okay, I'm warming up to Kanter now and feel he'll be a crowd favorite in Boston.

I personally like that the organisation made a big deal out of signing Kanter. It’s going to make him feel like he belongs & that he’s an integral part in this team. Seriously hope he returns the favour by working on his defence this offseason & then going on the floor & becoming an unstoppable force on the boards !

Kanter really handled himself well at the press conference. He made sure to defer to Kemba and not steal the spotlight.

He seems like a good guy too. Things are coming together nicely for the Celts this season!

Kanter bought us fans in first day...this year's team may be one of the most likable in last decades.

What a difference from last year.

I did not watch a lot of games in last two years, did not like Kyrie even before he came, did not like how selfish we played.

I loved IT team 2016/17 very much...really looking forward to this season.

He's got some of ET's quotability and irreverance, too--which should fit well here.

Looks like Kanter is going to fit right in here. But don't be fooled about his reported funding of Gulan. Yes, Erdogan is a bad guy, but so is Gulan--right here in the US.
