On a side note, our season really depends on OG's growth. I really hope he's worked on his handles, his ability to shoot and take his man off the dribble. We're labeling 22 year old, non lottery picks "busts" if they plateau? All OG needs to do is stay healthy, catch and shoot at a decent clip and continue to grow offensively with elite defense. Masai chose him knowing he'd be a project. He's a classic "high floor, low ceiling" player, meaning he may never be a Kawhi sort of sniper, but the worse he'll be a talented role player.
I'm honestly thinking we'll see Stanley make the leap whilst OG continues to work on his ball IQ and handle. I like the idea of OG playing an oversized 2 a la PG13 and Kawhi sharing the court.
If not this year, when? Playing with an elite pass first big in Gasol and an all star in lowry. If he can't take a big step forward, what better opportunity will he get in his career?
Not many young NBA players get the opportunity OG will get this upcoming year.
