On a side note, our season really depends on OG's growth. I really hope he's worked on his handles, his ability to shoot and take his man off the dribble. If OG doesn't take some sort of leap forward this year I think it's safe to classify him as a bust. He won't get a better opportunity than this upcoming season to really platoon his career.

We're labeling 22 year old, non lottery picks "busts" if they plateau? All OG needs to do is stay healthy, catch and shoot at a decent clip and continue to grow offensively with elite defense. Masai chose him knowing he'd be a project. He's a classic "high floor, low ceiling" player, meaning he may never be a Kawhi sort of sniper, but the worse he'll be a talented role player.

I'm honestly thinking we'll see Stanley make the leap whilst OG continues to work on his ball IQ and handle. I like the idea of OG playing an oversized 2 a la PG13 and Kawhi sharing the court.

If not this year, when? Playing with an elite pass first big in Gasol and an all star in lowry. If he can't take a big step forward, what better opportunity will he get in his career?

Not many young NBA players get the opportunity OG will get this upcoming year.

i'm watching the IG stories of Rico Hines when he works out with Thomas Bryant and Montrez Harrell. They are good players but when they work on those same perimeter drills that he does with Pascal, there's a huge difference. Pascal is soooo much more fluid. Bryant and Harrell look so herky jerky and awkward when trying to play the perimeter game. Same goes with Marvin Bagley who Hines works with daily (because he's now his coach), not at the same level as Pascal.

I agree. Pascal definitely moves more like a guard than those two. He has a slight smoothness that we haven't seen before. Anyway, it looks like Pascal might be on vacation right now, judging by his personal IG stories.

You're comparing completely different players.... Bryant is a pure center. Harrell is more center than PF, same goes for Bagely. We're lucky to have Pascal but turning him into the epitome of what a big "should" be is not how player development works.

I'm not trying to compare them like that. 2 years ago, Pascal was looking very awkward trying to play from the perimeter and his role on the team would simply be rim-runner PF/hustle/bench spark that could guard multiple positions. Now, Pascal is on the verge of becoming a special player once he develops that perimeter game that doesn't seem far fetched.

Bryant, Harrell, and Bagely are good players but they are not special yet. If they did develop better and more fluid/natural perimeter skills, they'll be like Anthony Davis - but they are not. I'm just saying Pascal is special and really a one of a kind in the NBA as a 3/4(and small ball 5) that can guard all 5 positions.

Some highlights of Stanley at the Drew, I think he came after halftime. Keep in mind the Drew is super sloppy and Jennings was taking the dumbest shots (and acting up). Frank Nitty was cooooking him.

Also, Shareef is someone I want us to draft and develop next year lol.

Stanley Johnson videos and highlights are the most confusing thing ever. I have no idea how he is so terrible watching them and seeing his physical profile

Looking forward to the video of them in action.

Agreed. For some reason his game doesnt transfer to real games. All the tools seem to be there, including a decent looking jump shot!!
