My guess is he is waiting to see if Morey uses him in an S&T as salary ballast. He could make a lot more money that way than he's likely to get offered in a straight signing.

Someone mentioned a few weeks back that he was seen with his family at a museum in Phoenix. I dont see any reason for either him being signed by the Suns or him being at a museum, both seem odd.

Was it possible to have fit him into the trade?

What's odd about a guy taking his family to a museum? Unless it was some sort of museum inappropriate for kids. I feel like I'm missing something from your post perhaps?

I didnt explain myself well enough I guess. I have lived in Az all my life and dont see our museums or sight seeing things as a draw for anyone to come from out of town to specifically see them unless you already have business here already. If this was a museum in La, Ny, Philly I could see it. Just thinking along the lines of who goes to Phoenix to visit our museum. I'm really saying we are not interesting, not saying he is weird for visiting a museum.
