Nah, he hired Perry and Fiz. Just like he hired Mills. I’m actually giving him credit for hiring them - I’m not saying that as a negative. It appears though that the prism of which this forum works is that everything you say must be positive and even a hint of negative means you’re making ‘hateful rants’.
As for smart basketball people. That’s debatable. Walsh and Layden, yes. Grunwald, no. I guess it shows what happens when you surround decent basketball minds with garbage personnel and a dumb owner who makes impulsive decisions.
Isiah was failure in every venture after his playing days before joining the Knicks, however. And he happened to be the biggest failure of all with the Knicks - and held the job longest. Go figure!
And yes, If you hire someone who makes bad decisions you should also get blamed for their bad decisions. That’s how life works. That’s the way the world turns.
