He played 5 games, averaged 6 points in 12 mins, shot 54% from the field, 37% from 3 and 50% FTs. Strangely FIBA's official website has no data on rebounds or blocks, but he had some of those too.
Personally I liked his D and although he was pretty neutral on offense he also didn't harm the team with TOs, mental mistakes or bad decisions. Showed some court vision too. Overall he looked useful to me.
Thanasis world cup at least showed that he can play and has some skills that could provide useful at some point this season.
3 & D wings are always valuable at. He's better than any 10 day call up like Liggins or Toupane, but a notch below Snell.
There were/are still more valuable uses of that roster spot, but, if needed, he might be able to offer some real minutes contribution.
That said, I don't expect him to be part of the rotation, but, I would think he'll have his chance at minutes at some point.
Besides the off the court value he provides to Giannis having his brother with him 24/7, and a guy who will give it to Giannis straight when he needs to hear something and he'll always be in the gym whenever Giannis wants to go.
His effect on Giannis off the court, is likely greater than anything he'll provide on the court, but it will be interesting to see their chemistry on the floor when they get the chance to play together.
