He may be as good as Lonzo, depends on how his IQ develops.

I'm not entirely sure he's a defender at all, actually. But I'm rooting for him. No reason not to.

Not sure how it’s been ‘obvious for awhile’. Due to his father yanking him out of school we’ve barely seen him play for the past 2 years. And when he did play against decent competition, in Lithuania, he was quite bad. This is why his stock has been dropping for months.

Perhaps he’s improved quite a bit as his Australia play shows, but it had been anything but obvious over the past 18 months.

He'll be a 6'7 point guard. I can't imagine him being a bad defender at that size and athleticism unless he doesn't learn to stop fouling.

yet he doenst play in europe so how could he stay here? Plus people who actually know stuff about scouting and actual scouts have him as a top pick and there even looking at shoe deals already, looks like a bum to me.

get your head out of your ass before saying something so dumb.

lamelo get off realgm. you're a garbage player and apart of a toxic family. No NBA team wants apart of that.

then every draft prospect next year is a garbage player or are all scouts, like me, are "lamelo himself" for having him so high? i know its hard for you to think with your head in ur ass, thinking australia is in europe i feel sorry for you

hehe ok lamelo or maybe this is lavar

u should stop swearing on a forum, you sound incompetent

its my opinion that he's garbage and a lot of other people feel the same way so if you dont like it get off the forum

Doncic go #3 pick while playing in tougher league than the nbl( and MVP). He is also a 6'7 PG with little athleticism(Like LaMelo)

Is really LaMelo as good as prospect as him? or is the american/Lavar bias?

From what I see, for sure top 5 potential but not ready to say number 1 just yet. What i respect the most is how he's matured mentally, seems like he mellowed out

C'mon, stretch yourself. He's not longer or more athletic than ASU James Harden (though he probably works out more). "Big point guard" doesn't automatically equal decent defender. Just watch him play. He moves wonky, with a stiff waist, and he has short, chicken legs. And his mentality has to be at least examined.

I'm not an expert on him. I'm just saying, based on the dozen or so little highlight reels that I've seen (going back years), he's not inspiring me with confidence in his defense. I don't see much aptitude or desire.

But, I mean, whatever. That's just what I see. To be clear, I'm not saying he'll suck or anything. I like him fine. I'm just saying I haven't seen anything encouraging on the defensive side of the court.

This DraftExpress account has been hyping LaMelo Ball since before last year's draft. Yawn.

Apparently he wasnt even the best player on his spire team.
He didnt seem to mind defering but they were blowing teams off the court . No way they were performing to that level without melo, a professional baller.

His impact may undeniable overseas now which is why he may be getting recognition.

Is playing in the NBL and being forced to learn how NOT to travel, a + or - for the NBA?

Why? Lamelo and Lonzo have been much higher rated prospects than LiAngelo, this isn't anything new for LiAngelo.

you answered your own question

it was a joke in regards to him not being good. But in his mind, he was.
