I give them like a 6 month pass to see if Cam Reddish looks like an NBA starter and to see if Trae Young can guard a parking cone.

Fox had a very good year and he's quality but I really don't think he's that good. Overhyped.

KP is moving really well and looks fluid. His numbers are pretty much his better games with the Knicks - 23 points but 7-16. We have to see if he can do it after the start and if he can keep playing D.

I don't really trust his body, strength or even his mental state. But now that he's out of NY, maybe his mental state won't be a problem. A lot of problems are solved when a guy is slotted into the right spot and Luka will help KP a lot.

This thread is only good for trolls coming here to laugh at us. We need to forget this guy. I'd rather see random posts about KP in other threads than have a thread dedicated to him. It's pathetic.

At least DSJ looks like a legit NBA lead guard, and we cleaned up in free agency with timmy and lee gone. Could be worse.

Dude still has a problem on the boards. He'd have KG like impact if he could rebound, but I don't think he does that well. It's hard to develop into a good rebounder.

KG could do a bit of just about everything. I don't think KP has shown he can score inside like KG. His jumper is looking pretty good. He needs to be more efficient to be absolutely great, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's a more than adequate 2 next to Doncic. If they got a 3rd who can share the secondary scoring option with KP, it could work big. Doncic is pretty off the charts.

Luka is the star. KP might be good if he learns to rebound and can stay healthy. **** KP.

he was advised to get out ASAP because the ownership is garbage

nothing to do with fans.. but the trade was so horrid from knicks stand point that it set franchise back a few years minimum.. got literally nothing in return for a young star who hadn't even hit RFA

current front office is very poor.. dolan will eventually flush as he did with isiah.. fiz will be first to go (later this year), then mills/perry in offseason

issue is, when dolan brings in someone good (donnie), he fails to keep that person around (and let them 100% do their job)

hence, the mess that will be the knicks forever until dolan is gone

21 wins

edit: knicks need to get their sh*t together FO-wise if they want to keep RJ longterm.. he's a star

Really wish we traded him to SA for Murray and a pick instead.

Murray
Barrett
Knox
Randle
Mitch

Now that’s a young juicy core

I don't think Hawks have any regrets passing up Doncic for Young

Trae is looking like the best PG in the league right now. He looks better than he did last year. Absolute stud!

I disagree, had they known Doncic was going to be this good there's no way they make that trade, especially with how much easier it is to build around a player like Luka than it is a small PG like Trae. I think it's obvious now that Doncic should have been the number 1 pick, 6'6-6'8" wings that can score, shoot the three and run an offense shouldn't be traded for a PG unless you're 100% certain it's Steph you're getting back, and Trae ain't that.

If they could do it again they'd just keep Doncic, looking like the best PG pales in comparison to looking like the best overall player under 23.

No, because Trae is exactly the general they wanted. His ability to push the pace and play as fast as he does and also he's a better passer than Doncic and Doncic is a very good passer too but Young is just better his vision is incredible. Doncic is more of a halfcourt player and the Hawks are not looking to play strictly halfcourt ball.

Halfcourt players win titles, that is what the goal is right? You know Doncic is going to score in a halfcourt game against tough defenses in the playoffs, it's clearly in his DNA, and because of his size he'll still be a decent defender across multiple positions so if you need to hide him on an offensively challenged 3 or 4 you can.

I think everyone expected Doncic to be good, but nobody outside of the Mavs was expecting him to be this good, he's a 3 level scorer with ability to run an offense. Those type of players are rare. This is why I wanted Barrett over Morant or Garland, big wings that can score and run an offense are more important than PGs.

You still keep going off of your own personal preference and not what the Hawks have made clear not only verbally but also the way they play.

As far as what you are saying, no I don't agree with it at all
