I give them like a 6 month pass to see if Cam Reddish looks like an NBA starter and to see if Trae Young can guard a parking cone.

I don't really trust his body, strength or even his mental state. But now that he's out of NY, maybe his mental state won't be a problem. A lot of problems are solved when a guy is slotted into the right spot and Luka will help KP a lot.

Dude still has a problem on the boards. He'd have KG like impact if he could rebound, but I don't think he does that well. It's hard to develop into a good rebounder.

Trae is looking like the best PG in the league right now. He looks better than he did last year. Absolute stud!

I disagree, had they known Doncic was going to be this good there's no way they make that trade, especially with how much easier it is to build around a player like Luka than it is a small PG like Trae.
If they could do it again they'd just keep Doncic.

No, because Trae is exactly the general they wanted. His ability to push the pace and play as fast as he does and also he's a better passer than Doncic and Doncic is a very good passer too but Young is just better his vision is incredible. Doncic is more of a halfcourt player and the Hawks are not looking to play strictly halfcourt ball.

Halfcourt players win titles, that is what the goal is right? You know Doncic is going to score in a halfcourt game against tough defenses in the playoffs, it's clearly in his DNA, and because of his size he'll still be a decent defender across multiple positions so if you need to hide him on an offensively challenged 3 or 4 you can.
I think everyone expected Doncic to be good, but nobody outside of the Mavs was expecting him to be this good, he's a 3 level scorer with ability to run an offense. Those type of players are rare. This is why I wanted Barrett over Morant or Garland, big wings that can score and run an offense are more important than PGs.
