Now, is he a 28/9/4 guy? Probably not. But IF (if!!!) he actually is, he’s easily an MVP candidate.

I mean AD’s peak so far has been 28/11/2, Giannis is 27/13/6, so it isn’t like 28/9/4 is not up there. Kawhi is arguably (and is IMO) the best player in the NBA and his #’s last year were 27/7/3

But realistically, he tapers off. I’d be ecstatic with a 24/8/4 type year with a 3rd all nab appearance

Then Ingram is also a top 5 player, then?. He's making 26.8/8.4/4.8 on 62.4% TS, very similar numbers to Siakam.

Look at their advanced metrics Ingram is .172 WS/48 vs Siakam's .242 WS/48. BI's BPM is 3.8 vs Siakam's BPM of 4.9.

Bam .268 WS/48 | 8.6 BPM | .654 TS
Siakam .242 WS/48 | 4.9 BPM | .626 TS

How do you adjust for a guy like Siakam? Unless teams are just going to throw double teams at him every possession I don't see how you can stop him.

NBA coaches have an uncanny ability to find holes in your game. It's like that's what they do for a living or something.

I get it, it's hard to see struggle when everything is going good. In one of Paul George runs where he was averaging 27 PPG I didn't see how he'd end up at 21 for the season, but he did. And yes in the case of PG and Oladipo, they just threw a 2nd defender at them every time they touched the ball almost for a while.

But what do they do when there are no holes?

Oh boy .....

I see, this is like trying to have an open discussion with a religious/political party zealot. I'm sorry I wasted our time.

After tonight’s game. No, he’s not a top 5 player. Still limited to his constant knack for picking up dumb fouls.

Premier matchup and got shut down. maybe top 10 but I think he is in conversation for top 15

He got shut down because he couldn't buy a call while he was being whistled for some BS against Giannis (like the and-1 in Q1 where Siakam didn't even touch him) on the other end while Giannis can grab Siakam on a spin move and get away with it. He didn't have a good game tonight, but getting even a single trip to line would have helped a bit.

Siakam will be blow a gasket in the playoffs like he did when he injured himself after tripping Embiid.

He can be tilt emotionally, so he needs to find a balance of bringing energy to the floor without going overboard.

On serious note Siakam had the same freedom before people started respecting Giannis on offense and adjusted to him with double and triple teams, Pascal needs to adjust his game otherwise he will struggle.

I'm predicting this will be the most bumped thread all season. "Celtics exposed?" will be a close second.

I was also smiling tonight. Seeing Giannis + Bledsoe almost lose choke a 25 point lead to a this super weak raptors team only enforced the belief that they'll fall short (again) in the playoffs and Giannis will leave :)

Choke was what we did against the Celtics and the Heat. With you it was normal since we were in the second of the B2B against a well rested good team. In fact it's rare to win this easily in that scenario.

No need to belittle your own team, I think the Raps look way better than I was expecting. No shame in losing a road game to a great team like the Bucks.

Lmao we have been around but don’t get caught up in bull like Giannis is leaving **** because of Brogdon not resigning. We lost last year it’s over and done with this is a new season and we will be a team that is going to be a force in the playoffs no matter who we play.
