Correct. That's why I think it will happen. I just think we will wait till closer to the deadline to see things open up.
Just not sure how we are sending out about 29 mill to match salaries. TJo is "only" 19 and we don't really have anybody else in the 10+region, only the 4-5mill, which would take 2 more (relatively expensive contract for us) to make it work. That pretty much only works if we send out Baynes and Bridges. Or TJo+Kelly when he becomes tradeable. Not sure I would want to do either of that.

If a trade were to occur, it would have to be along the lines of Tyler Johnson, Dario Saric, Elie Okobo, and one of Bridges or Cam Johnson.
Our depth would look like this...
Rubio / Carter
Booker / Jerome
Oubre / Johnson (or Bridges)
Griffin / Kaminsky
Ayton / Baynes

Wow, discounting our players and hyping up other team's players.

I knew that was to get stuck in your craw.

Rubio
Booker
Oubre
KAT
Baynes
Suns would be in title contention at that point. I say we go for it. Don’t see how Minnesota declines if we offer multiple first round picks too. Let’s just hope Minnesota starts losing.

If we want to add more high end talent then we’re looking at Love, Griffin, or Aldridge - older players with significant salaries and injury concerns. I’d also still be interested in Aaron Gordon who’s had an underwhelming start to the season but I still think can reach a much higher level and is a better long term piece than Saric/Kaminsky.
I don’t think we will or should do anything until Ayton is back and we see how the team performs over a few weeks with the intended starting 5. At that point, if we could turn Tyler/Saric/Kaminsky into a long term answer at PF then we could devote this summer to guard depth and re-signing Baynes (which is looking like a priority).

We are sooo deep right now, especially when Ayton gets back
All smart high IQ players. Lets keep the chemistry! Lets go keep winning !
Griffin isnt an upgrade to win
Towns isnt coming
Kevin Love is not that big of an upgrade from Saric .
When Ayton comes back, i want to see baynes picking for ayton ! Lets get creative

But then with Tyler as a $19m expiring, I feel like it might be the last time we'll be able to bring in a player that could really help take the team to another level.
