He’s averaging more points than Booker on less shot attempts.

Dallas is probably a legit playoff contender and they have management that is always willing to make roster improvements throughout the year. It will be Phoenix/Dallas/San Antonio/and Portland fighting for the last 3 playoff spots most likely.
As for the Miami game on Thursday, they’ve looked very impressive and have a ton of guys playing well. But four of their five wins have been Atlanta twice without Trae, Memphis, and Orlando. They’re well disciplined so if it’s a close game I expect them to win, but Booker is on one right now so who knows.

It's going to be a GRIND and I'm going to enjoy it

I genuinely detest Max Kellerman, but I'm glad to see him give credit where credit is due for once.
Also catch him say "Devin Booker is one of the best players in the NBA this season."

Don’t watch ESPN but will check out clips of them on YT when they talk about the Suns. If Kellerman is barely recognizing Booker isn’t overrated then he hasn’t been paying attention to the Suns like most other analyst. Booker isn’t doing anything different this year except playing harder on defense. I haven’t noticed any new moves by Book that he worked on this summer, just doing the same old song and dance just perfecting his craft. I’m glad they are recognizing Booker and his impact but they should have realized this a long time ago.

I would say his shot selection has improved with Monty’s schemes and new teammates... but that’s less of a choice and more of a opportunity

He was very efficient last year despite being the only player defenses had to worry about. We've never seen him in a James Harden role with good players around him. Would be fun to watch, but what we're doing now works really well, too.

Trust me, I've heard the same about Wiggins and Mitchell and didn't work.

Well it's a good thing Devin Booker is better than those guys.
Booker's D has absolutely improved this season. I think there are multiple factors. Less offensive load leaves more energy in the tank for D, playing in close games helps because it's hard to be motivated on D when down 20 in a hopeless game, better defenders around him help both in he gets to guard the lesser backcourt opponent and when the scheme is holding up around you its more motivation to not be the dude who **** up, and lastly some is him simply getting more experienced and understanding d better, some of his past mistakes like missing rotations is an issue for a lot of younger players.hollywood6964 wrote:Crives wrote:Qwigglez wrote:Don’t watch ESPN but will check out clips of them on YT when they talk about the Suns. He's trying harder on defense. Some of that can be attributed to having to handle the ball, etc., but his d was non-existent before now, even when we had a pg.
He's not doing any Kobe Bryant isos- he's not good enough to do those, not many players are. And he was a turn over machine and bad shot taker when he did try, which was a lot. Again some of that could be attributed to not having good players around him, and coaching, but it was a bit much even still. Now he goes for quick hits, and using screens while dribbling, in quick hit fashion, which is not an iso.
And he's got better players and coaching around him. You're going to look better that way. Very few players can look like superstars with junk around them.
