He’d be the only marquee free agent this upcoming summer so yeah, he’ll easily get 30 or more if he keeps it up. Zero chance he takes his opt in.

I’m always wary of contract year players for this reason, their value becomes slight to massively over valued in which many teams just never take the next step after a re sign. Because they never really get any better due to their limited cap flexibility. We’re relying on too much rookie scale contracts help along with a resurgent Rose albeit unhealthy-ish.

Trade market doesn’t look much better either with the kings and nyk taking up all the wings and depth. Knicks could go on a fire sale though if they implode.

Dudes a joke and has been allowed to troll this board for years just because he used to be a mod

How hard is it to find a new hobby? I've parted ways with numerous things that once gave me joy over the years. Would NEVER devote so much time and energy to something that doesn't fulfill me in any way.

If you take the time to read the forum rules you'll find there is nothing stating that the use of sarcasm is forbidden. There also is no rule stating we all have to agree on everything.

I've met about 30 members of this forum in person over the years and many are still personal friends. I'd be willing to bet my house that every one of them would tell you I joke around pretty much nonstop and only take things seriously when it's absolutely necessary. This looks to me like you're projecting your own level of emotional distress, because nothing about this distresses me in any way. It's an internet forum. Lighten up, Francis.

If you make $30 mill a year...you probably don't live in Detroit and probably have someone pay someone to shovel the snow.

Living in a neighborhood of boarded up houses and getting mugged or even shot makes no sense if you make $30 million a year. And shoveling snow too. Who's got time for that when you're a millionaire?

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. It’s relative to people saying the Pistons can’t attract star players because the city of Detroit is so horrible, Michigan winters suck, etc. My contention is exactly what you stated; they don’t live in the city and Boston and New York, which get the same weather, don’t have any problems getting star players. It’s about money and the opportunity to win a championship. The Pistons, like any team with the cap space available, can pay a star player enough money. They just don’t look like an organization that right now gives a star player a good chance to win a championship.

Spot on. I do believe if Kennard grows, Sekou becomes a stud and....one other (preferably a knock down point guard general type) is added....
Then a quality free agents will be interested in coming. Have to have a solid 3 to 5 year plan hopefully based around Luke and Sekou. Find the next piece!
