There’s no way Mills is completely out, if he gets fired at all. Best case he will be a ‘consultant’ to Dolan like Isiah is. Aka still operating in the shadows and being the typical snake he is. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Allan Houston take the Mills role, though. Dolan loves him but he seems like a colossal waste of space. Haven’t heard this dude ever being considered for any front office position anywhere else but he successfully leeches on to Dolan and acts as another one of his lackeys. Probably will see a new 10 year run with Houston as President after Mills. And then Dolan will try to convince everyone that everything is different now.

F culture.

Get someone here that knows what the hell they are doing, can make smart moves and build a good team for now and the future.

Yeah I would disagree, but what about reputation? Is that BS also? I

Reputation is usually based on results. And i get that if we are constantly making changes, that's not good for your rep. But Mills has been here for so long and the results have been horrible. Our rep and culture is terrible. We just need to move on and that also means getting rid of some of his guys. We need a clean slate.

Lol he don’t even care if he using Randle wrong. This guy is a flat out idiot. We gonna keep seeing point Randle instead of pick and rolls until he’s fired.

I mean ... It's fine for me to be, in every post, "get Hinkie, let him run the FO, get Messina as coach and Stackhouse as vice-coach". And I do believe that would be a correct (ok, so I paused as I typed over correct x very good, but let me do me) strategy.

However, if you are the owner I think it is almost impossible to say. meh, all in on 00. You would surely want to have some control over what is going on ... and that means decent, preferably accurate, information.

So ... whilst I think the/an ideal thing would be do .. in this case Hinkie/Messina to the wall ... but if you are reading this then substitute your favourite plan .. JVG + PreacherrMark .. or w/e ... that's probably simply not realistic. The owner has to have someone somewhere on the inside who he trusts. Whether that person is objectively trustworthy (cf Mills) or not, is a different question.

I +1'd. But .. should we really believe that Flat is going to do what he says in press conferences? There has to be an outside chance that's a smokescreen and his wife tells him to bench Randle and/or tell the entire team that Randle's role is no longer taking the ball up court from the back court, not initiating the offense at the 3pt line, but simply to work down low. I mean .. there has to be a chance, amirite?

So Fiz's modus is just to let the prisoners run the asylum and no repercussions. Great coach we have here folks *claps*

I truly have this suspicion that Fiz intentionally wants to get himself fired while getting into the good graces of players.

It's tough for a coach to bench someone for being inadequate at a role he obviously doesn't have the skill set for, despite having a perfectly good skill set in other ways. It would mean Fizdale would be admitting his entire game plan through training season, preseason, and first 11 games of the season was all wrong. I mean, it generally is, but Fizdale admitting it is another story. Which is why I don't see Randle being benched as long as the coach remains, and I don't see Randle being traded or otherwise moved as long as the incumbent front office remains.

Maybe this is his only option if he wants to survive in NBA after he gets fired.
He can stick as assistant somewhere.
And he should GTFO ASAP.

The pay for an HC gig is much much larger than just being the assistant coach. I read somewhere that assistants are just around 1m or less per year. Fiz jumped into the opportunity to have the largest payday of his career and the Knicks were hoodwinked by him plain and simple.
