I'm looking for deals on a little giant type ladder. Thankfully I doubt I need to get up at the crack of dawn to get one

I know some here don't love buying new cars. But I had waited patiently as **** to buy a 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie, got it down 25% off MSRP, even had my wife saying I should do it, until I explained how we'd pay for it (large down payment + monthly financing. I guess she didn't understand how money works, so now I'm not getting a truck and we bought a ****ing couch instead. I'm incredibly disappointed and I'm looking for anyone's input on what I should treat myself with.

Don't worry, you'll wake up on Christmas morning and find a 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie in your gigantic driveway with a big red bow on top. That's at least what the commercials tell me to expect.

Haha I’d actually be furious because she convinced me it wasn’t a good time and if she went out and did it anyways I’d go bonkers.

I’m looking for poker tables and foosball tables for the man cave.

Interesting stat which I had to write somewhere.
In the Greek League (even without serious opponents) Jimmer Fridette has 74.3% in 3PTS (in 5 FGA/game) after 8 games !

You need to be careful who you show this stat to 'round here.

I know. I would never want him for the Bucks, so I kept it lowkey in OT

Saw the posts on Cyber Monday deals. In people's opinion, is that the best day to buy TV's, or will they be similarly priced until the holidays? I am looking to get two large screen QLED for our new house, and wanted to have them ready prior to moving in in late December. Haven't bought a TV worth anything in ages so I'd be up for some info/advice.

I am looking into buying an OLED sometime soon. From all the people i talked to they seem to prefer OLED over QLED, and the most praised TV is LG C9. I saw it at a friend's house ( 65") and the picture was amazing. Of course I am not sure what the market in the US is, and if you have pretty much the same selection like here.

I think it's highly unlikely you'll get a better deal than on Black Friday/Cyber Monday before the end of the year. If you had more leeway, I'd suggest waiting until early next year when all the 2019 models are priced to move in anticipation of the 2020 models. But if you need it by late December, I think BF/CM is your best bet, IMO.

Generally you can't beat BF/CM. Costco has had some really good TV deals the past couple of weeks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Be wary of the TVs that are made specifically for BF. They're produced at lower quality and tend to break sooner. Costco had an amazing LG UM7300PUA 65" for $499 that Best Buy price matched, was the best 65" I could find.

It can't be hard to price match electronics. Manufacturers will give unique model numbers to the same item for each major retailer.

My ex worked for an electronics company for 6 years. She said that the tvs and other electronics they used for the black friday specials are usually cheaply built and use inferior parts, to get the cost low for the specials. I always figured they just had 5 to ten tvs they sold at cost just to get you in the store to make you buy other crap, but I guess that isn't the case. Those TV models usually had some weird sku/model numbers that really couldn't be shopped. I thought it was private labeling to not allow you to price compare, but they are just modified with lower quality parts, and can't legally use the same sku numbers.

It sounds like a pain in the @$$ to do that, but if you are a bigger box store that sells 5 to ten tvs on special per store, times X amount of stores, you are buying a lot of tvs, and you can have a specific model made geared to your specific price point.

I would say do your research on a sku that you want prior to black friday and buy the one you want at the best price you can find.

What are we talking about here? Like Vizio will make a special, BF/CM version of the same model with lesser parts? Or are we talking about those generic ass brands that have cheapass flatscreens on BF/CM that sell out in 20 minutes?

Nope, a lot of brands do it. Like this Samsung below is made differently than their standard TVs specifically for sales like this at big box stores.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-65-class-led-nu6900-series-2160p-smart-4k-uhd-tv-with-hdr/6268405.p?skuId=6268405

They'll sell them year round, but they definitely don't have the same standards as others. This is what a few different electronic store people have told me. The reviews still seem solid, but I ended up going with an LG.

Yeah I've known that for years. I've never bought a TV anytime around Christmas.

Well, I bought my Vizio TV at BF four years ago and it's still working beautifully.

Never had an issue with the 3 Black Friday TV's I bought over various points the last 6 years. They are cheap enough and technology is happening so fast, you might want the newest thing in 4 years anyways. (horrible for the environment I would assume)

Everyone else stuck in an office at work today gonna **** off as much as I am? Between the holiday and the snow storm my place is almost empty. Gonna catch up on the Resident, Arrow, and settle in for a nice nearly four hour movie on Netflix.
