He didnt shoot well for sure. But he could have easily 20 assists, 0 turnovers, defend well, make an important reverse layup and 2 clutch fts, etc...
If you think the missed shots(all open) erase all that is ok, is a free world :D

Usually I would agree with you that Rubio's positives outweigh the negatives. He played great in the first half, and I love his defense, facilitation and steadiness. But I also thought the Hornets strategy with us down the stretch was to force the ball into Rubio's hands on the perimeter. He was 0-5 from 3, but he also passed up a lot of shots because of how poorly he was shooting it. Sure, none of our guys were hitting last night, but his futility was to my eye the most glaring problem.

Though he was our best 3 pt shooter the previous game, at 4-6..so 4-11 over two games. Not bad. Players will have their ups and downs, and he's never been a great shooter but there is a reason teams have always been much much better when he is on the floor.

Yet in the last 2 minutes he created and1 FG for Saric (3pts) and then another one for Kaminsky which led to offensive rebound and Oubre's game winning 3 (also assisted by Rubio). 3 assists for 8 pts in crunch time. Overall 13 asts and zero TOs. yeah he was bad  but we'd have taken another L without his contributions

Yeah, 13 assists to 0 turnovers is phenomenal. Add 4 steals to that. Not sure how many of those assists were for 3s, but he probably was responsible for 30 pts off assists plus his own 9...so 40 or so of our points. Not bad.

That streamable was funny because of the commentary.

+2 for Bridges since he played well throughout the game. His confidence is slowly getting there
+1 for Rubio took some shots wide open just missed because he can’t shoot

Honorable mention to Ty Jerome who I felt had a good first game. Dude needs to hit the weight room but his IQ is off the charts. Booker also played well for the most part.

    I'll go with that

This game was basically a Ricky Rubio classic: can't hit a shot, everything else just excellent. It's fine to be either high or low on this game and on Ricky in general imo. His strengths are very strong and valuable and his limitations are very apparent as well.
