Go figure he doesnt know the rules:

Targeting and Making Forcible Contact With the Crown of the Helmet (Rule 9-1-3)

No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting. When in question, it is a foul.

Yeah, thinking about it in retrospect it was all halftime adjustments by O$U and their talent winning out. Obviously some of the playcalling was frustrating in the 2nd half, but O$U switching to more of a low zone cutting off the slants and their line getting to Coan more often changed the game.

Defense changed with Orr going out too. It was probably in combination with O$U getting it together but they started to move with ease after he went out. Too many 3rd and long conversions for them as well.

In general this performance should be enough to get into the Rose Bowl. They gave O$U its only test all year. Yes, the PSU game was closer but O$U was up big the majority of the game.

Both ESPN guys project us in the Cotton against Memphis. Their coach is gone today, and likely bringing a lot of his staff with him, so I would expect them to be ill-prepared.

I'm still hopeful for Rose Bowl and a rematch vs the Ducks (totally different teams and coaching staffs, obviously). We only fell one spot in AP and are above PSU. Our results vs. same opponents are better. Two of our losses are to the same team, who also is #2. PSU has not losing to Illinois on us, and that's about it. I'm not saying that's nothing, but even with 3 losses we have better SOR.

You have to take into account the amount of time the defense was on the field in the second half. That and Chris Orr injury. Actually did Rand come back?

The play calling was atrocious and the offense could not stay on the field. How do you expect the defense to do against Ohio State when they dont have any rest????????

Drives to start the second half:
They went 75 yards in about 90 seconds for a TD to open the second half. (21 - 14)
UW then had the ball for three plays and fumbled the punt
OSU kicked a field goal (21 - 17)
UW then had the ball for just over 5 minutes and missed a field goal
OSU went 69 yards in a little over 3 minutes and scored a TD (24 - 21)
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The offense scored 0 points in the 2nd half.

Sure the defense gave up points. But they played OSU. You kind of expect them to score.

Can you explain the difference in playcalling for 1st half to 2nd half?

The 3rd down bomb on the opening drive of the 2nd half was the game. Zero chance we were going to recover from that.

I may try given I’m at the 9 year mark since my last trip. Let’s meet up and pass drugs and discuss post entry passes.

Enjoy. I wish I could pull it off this year; don't think it will work with schedules.
