That is playing not to lose.
But did they lose?

Might as well make a habit of texting and driving since nothing happened this last time
Should I point out that if they had gone even more conservative on their drive after the interception and went run, run, run they would have been better off?
Now what I'm about to say I say independent of today's game. People like to get annoyed when a team runs 3 times to make the other team burn its TOs but some times that's 100% the right call alot of times. People like to freak out when a team marches down the field a couple of times when trailing against a soft zone but yes that is normally the smart play. These strategies may not make the final score look pretty (and yes sometimes it comes back to bite you in the ass) but when playing with a big lead they more often then not lead to a victory as the best chance for a team to actually come back is if you hand them easy quick points.
In the NFL it's as much about not beating yourself as beating the other team and when the clock is on your side you play the percentages.
Now back onto today's game yes I wouldve liked them to step in their throat. But at the same time I'm not going to get on MLF case for not being aggressive with a big lead and getting shut down against a top flight defense which is one that thrives off of TOs and sacks with the clock on the Packers side.
