I like Favors, but his lack of a 3 might clog the middle, unless decides he's going to shoot it. but then again, I'd rather see Ayton more mid to inside.
Unless they get something good, namely a backup pg (Mills, Augestin), I'm standing pat for at least 10 games to see where the current roster is.
Grant is currently only making around 9 million, and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021. But I'm not sure that Denver will actually let him reach free agency with Milsapp expiring in 2020. That's why I think it's important to consider trading for him now, before they potentially lock him up long term. Now it's been rumored by NBA pundits I believe that Denver has been quietly coveting Andre Iguodala. And with respect to that, And the consideration that Oubre will likely outplay his current contractual value as he becomes an unrestricted free agent himself in 2021. I believe that we could possibly trade for Grant, And then resign him at around 14-15 million which would give us a very viable replacement for Oubre at small forward, Whilst not blowing a large chunk of our cap space for 2021.
Now I see 2 avenues for this honestly. And I'd be happy with either to be honest. As long as we'd be sure we could resign him. Would we still have his bird rights post trade when he becomes trade eligible on January 15th? And can we use bird rights to potentially go over the cap to resign an unrestricted free agent IF NECESSARY???
Regardless of that though, we could either:
1- Phoenix/ Memphis/Denver:

Phoenix- Sends Oubre to ( Memphis), Kaminsky to ( Denver), Carter ( Denver), and a future lottery protected first ( 2023 or 2024 )? To Memphis.
Memphis- Sends Andre Iguodala to ( Denver) and Tyus Jones to ( Phoenix).
Denver- Sends Jerami Grant ( Phoenix), Juan Hernangomez, and Monte Morris to ( Memphis).
Or we could just simply Just trade Oubre to Denver for Jerami Grant and Monte Morris.

Another option that I like is to simply trade Oubre to Dallas for Kleber, and Seth Curry.

This trade would theoretically( after resigning Baynes) still leave us with around 15 million for free agency, Which I would then use to offer:
- Either Doug McDermott or Nemanja Bjelica for around 10.
- TJ McConnell for around 3 million. ( Cause we have to maintain some a TJ on the team!

- Daniel Theiss for around 2 million.
- Rubio/ TJ McConnell/ Okobo.
-Booker/ Seth Curry/ Jerome.
- Bridges/Cam / McDermott.
- Kleber/McDermott/ Cam.
Ayton/ Baynes/ Theiss.
Again, Ideally we do both trades, In wich we trade Oubre, etc. For Grant. And then use Johnson's expiring,Saric, and a future lottery protected first to ( San Antonio), And then Dallas recieves either Aldridge or Derozan ( their preference). And we recieve Maxi Kleber and Seth Curry.
That would theoretically give us around 7 million still to use in free agency. Which we can then use on :
- McConnell for 3 million.
- Daniel Theiss at 2 million.
- resign Diallo at 2 million?
- Rubio/ McConnell/ Okobo.
- Booker/ Curry/ Jerome.
- Grant/ Bridges/ Cam.
- Kleber/ Theiss/ Diallo.
- Ayton/ Baynes/ Theiss.
That's a really solid roster with both great offense, And great defense and rim protection.
