MVP candidate huh? Mind sharing some of that good stuff you puffing on
Sure. The only thing stopping Simmons from being a superstar is his failure to shoot jump shots and 3’s. once he starts shooting them he begins to live up to his potential. That’s all that’s stopping Simmons from greatness, just needs to start shooting the basketball. If he strung together 5 games where he was taking a few 3s and jump shots per game you all would have a completely different tune.
It’s more then just about shooting a basketball. He can shoot as many jumpers or 3s now but if the team doesn’t win then he won’t be any better. It’s about having the drive to get better as a player and leading your team as a leader. The only thing stopping Ben from being a superstar is Ben, he has no drive to get better. No one can make him shoot or improve as a player, he has to Want It.
The only year we’ve seen him play great basketball is the year he made the All Star team. After that dude just basically doesn’t care how the team does. He’s just out there for himself, which brings up his rookie year. He sat out the whole year so he can come back the next year to win rookie of the year and get more money from endorsements. Now he got the big contract he doesn’t care to improve.
Just a month or 2 ago, I wanted to keep him and get a new coach in to see what he can do with Ben. Since then I’ve watch him play and he doesn’t give it his all out there every game. Dude hides from moments the team needs him most. I’ve given up on him.
