the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

Regarding identity, its because I believe deep inside the guys aren’t in line with how the team wants to play.
The leaders and the followers should share the same belief. Try to read Simon Sinek’s book “start with why”.
You think Ben wants to play post heavy offense that Biid wants to play?
How so? @ in bold

Isnt that pretty much exactly what we were expecting coming into the season? Are these freakouts just because some other teams are doing better than expected? Or were people really thinking we'd come out like the Bucks did this year and just trashing teams? It's not like this team got better talent-wise going from JJ and Jimmy to Horford and Josh.

How often are they locked in on defense, and how stifling is it, really? Which players are leading that effort and setting a standard of play in that regard, and is it creating a culture of performance in that area for the team?
In other words, where is this team's identity as a stifling defensive squad? I'm not seeing that. There is no reason why that shouldn't be present on a consistent basis at this point.
And if the team doesn't have that as an identity, what does it have as one? That's the point of the thread.

In 2018, we had a 105 defensive rating. That's with Dario Saric and J.J. Redick in the lineup for 30 minutes a game.
It feels like we're underperforming defensively this year. We should be in the top 3 and instead we're in the back half of the Top 10. Missing Lloyd Pierce.

I think you are living in the past. Defense doesn't win games, it is all about scoring on the ball. What are we doing talking about defense when we don't have on ball scorers? let's give Shayok a chance now!
Chris76 wrote:I would like to see Shayok get a chance. His Lou Williams type impact is needed. Burke looks good, but Shayok has size and better range.
Our defense does seem to be under performing. Embiid allowing midrange jumpers and open 3s are killing us. THJ, Bertans, and others got too many open looks. Maybe, Pelle or Bolden could add needed energy at times.

Boston, minus 2 of their top players, won in another blow out today. Milwaukee missing its starting pg, blew out indiana again today
We r no where close to these teams levels

Were you around for the whole KAT ridiculousness?
