Toppin is 3 years older than the other top prospects and projects to play the 4 in the NBA(Draymond’s position). Only way I would be interested in him is if they’re drafting outside the top 6-7.
I’d take Wiseman, Edwards, and RJ Hampton over him for sure...and there’s probably a couple other guys I’d take over him easily.

Maybe he could come off the bench and play small ball 5 in spurts with Draymond. Draymond used to share the big men spot with Barnes in our death lineup pre KD. That's an even smaller frontcourt.
Toppin seems to be a decent enough shooter who can stretch the floor and then he has all the intangibles you want out of your big men.
Also if he's any good, he could come in and contribute right away since he redshirted his freshman year and is now in his second playing season in college.
I think he's one of the only projected lottery picks of this year who will actually have played multiple seasons in college when entering the NBA.

clyde21 wrote:Toppin is pretty good, nothing special, he's a sophomore but senior aged, like 22 already, not a great defender either not sure about playing small ball 5
again...we're looking at the wrong positions here...why are we even talking about Toppin when we have Dray and Paschall on the roster?

Dudes been a consensus top 5 all through high school rankings and start of this season, now in the 10 range and nobody on this board is mentioning him...
yet, he's playing really well in an offense that doesn't really showcase a center much outside of 5 ft. Seems like a great modern day big prospect (not EVERY center has to pop for 3's)

Is this a ranking of how much you like each prospect and their potential, or a ranking of where you think each player should be picked? It seems like the former for sure considering Scottie at the top, but I am just surprised considering you seem far higher on Wiseman here than it appeared from previous posts.
