NEW YORK YANKEES vs. Boston Red Sux Game 2 of 3

Post#1 » by xstockholmsyndromex » Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:08 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls......Once again, the stage is set for another intense matchup between two bitter rivals, at historic Yankee Stadium. Last night the Yankees came out victoriously, as we all knew they would, but tonight...the Sux will be out for revenge. The Yankees remain 7 games back from their goal of winning their 10th straight Division Title....and the Bastards from Boston, are the only thing standing in their way. Tonight, "America's Team", takes to the field once again against their bitter enemies.....against those who stand for all that which is wrong and unjust in the world.....to inch ever so closer to what is rightfully theirs......the Division Crown, and ultimately ANOTHER World Series Championship.

Introducing the home team....second in their Division, but they are always first in our hearts....

I would love to smack Beckett around. So let's do it, ok?? Raise that ERA up about .50 points or so.

I bet that Damon stays in left and Matsui DHs after last night. Damon in left is not too bad. The arm is awful, but Matsui's arm isn't too much better. Regardless Damon is covering far more ground than Matsui can. Let's go smack around Beckett and show him what a real team can do. Let's raise his 9.45ERA and .304BAA. -Jitpal

I would love nothing more than to simply destroy Beckett. Give him his worst outing all year. Make him leave after 2 2/3rds.

In reality, I just hope we play it close til Beckett gets tired then his last pitch in the 6th be a 3 run shot.

Alright, since everyone seems to think Matsui will DH and Damon will play LF, I've made the changes in the original post.

Lineups as per Peter Abraham:

EDIT: cmaff beat me to it... /EDIT

Manny is out, which also means Youks is batting fifth, where he is a lot less effective (.217 .313 .302) than in the two-hole (.307 .412 .498).

Good start by Roger, now let's get this **** rollin. I benched Beckett in fantasy so I won't have any distractions, let's pound his ass like a new inmate at Shawshank.
