Masai Ujiri and Nick Nurse think he is. You’re not better than Masai Ujiri or Nick Nurse at recognizing basketball talent.

4 years of data makes it pretty clear what he is, but let's check back in on McCaw in a couple of months and we'll see what Masai and Nurse think he is then.

Pat is such a garbage player, that I refuse to read such a long post on him. Sorry. I think you're the only person here who'd rather have Pat than the guys I mentioned who are making less. I'd honestly rather have VC with one leg than Patrick. I don't even think this con-artists can dominate the G league. He got Ujiri good. lol@ 1 bad game. Ok bud.
so please explain to me why Nurse publically acknowledged that hes terrible on offense and still okay with giving him heavy minutes because of his high defensive energy, passing and high BB IQ? Its obvious you cant expect a 2 way play from a 4 million dollar player. But you can still use a player and win games if they ace their strict responsibilities either on offence or defence. Do you remember biyombo? He was one of the worst offensive players in the league but he was so effective on defence and helped us get to keep cleveland series in proximity in the conference finals. He was signed for 17 or 18 million the following year if im not mistaking, 0 offence!!! You think Mccaw's defense is not worth just 1/4th of that?
Bruh, Pat does NOTHING POSITIVE on the court. Literally nothing. What are you debating about ?

Not as stupid as you'll feel when I come here every time he has a bad game. Enjoy this fluke game.

So lets make a deal. If next game he plays well also, you can no longer call it a fluke game tonight since "fluke" cant strike consecutively? You will be then asked to respect McCaw as an impactful player on the team and you will be a man of your word and no longer trash his play. Deal?

Even a G league player can have a stretch of 2 NBA games. How about he plays well for the rest of the season ? Is he a charity case ?
He doesn't really have an extended leash. He plays within his game. Defends, occasional drive and kick, and having to heave up 3s at the end of the shot clock since neither of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd options got a good look.EH15 wrote:will wrote:You are not a realgm caliber poster.
Nope. Legit point he has.
McCaw had a good game. His first truly good game he's had with us. If he's going to contribute like this from now on then OP will gladly admit being wrong. But Pat won't play like this because he doesn't have the skills, the IQ, the attention, the intensity, the shooting, the finesse, the disposition, the tools, nor the will to continue this.
Anyone can have one good game. Anyone can have 10 good games. Give me 40 games and then you can get the minutes and the extended leash McCaw gets.
Look, no one is saying this dude is as bad as Hassan Adams. But he's not close to being as good now or in the future as Davis or OG.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.
