Steven Adams?
Any deal for smart would be one we lose. The D is just too important. Sadly Hayward is the guy that makes the most sense to trade.

Higgs Boston wrote:Hayward is much important than Smart, he makes the team a contender if he is healthy, Smart is just a good role player that doesn't move the needle. The team can have an elite defense without Smart especially if we add a defensive big, but we can't have an elite offense without Hayward.

We don't need him.

We don't need him.
It's easy:
1. He has a long and decent contract
2. He is a young PF with high potential and we need bigs.
3. He is playing below expectations and his price should be relatively low.
4. He is a orlando magic player, a franchise that isn't considered to be good developing young talent.
It's one of the options in the category "buy low, high reward"

He's not a big. He would be the fourth wing behind Tatum/Brown/Hayward. He would never be the big for a lineup with the Celtics. He's a fine defensive roleplayer, but not really all that valuable. Would he get like 15 minutes some nights in Boston? Certainly I don't ever want him shooting is the problem as he'd almost always be the worst offensive player on the court unless you put him out there with Semi.

He’d get plenty of time at center despite his size.

I’m not trading Kemba for KAT but it would be tough to turn down anything else. If we could ship Tatum/ smart / pick I’d say see ya later. We’d be a monster of a team. But it’s not happening.

I wouldnt do that. No deal will be had.

Hayward would need to be in the deal to match salaries. Hayward Tatum and Memphis pick? Lol, I don’t know. Tatum fits in so well here.

He wont be dealt during the season.
Best hope would be for them to accept Smart, Brown and picks. Guessing theyd want significantly more.

If I'm the GM of the Wolves, I'd kick KAT out of my office for the next 3 years. As soon as he steps inside, I'm telling him to GTFO. He can sulk all he wants. It's that how he wants his career to be defined, then so be it. There is absolutely no reason as to why the Wolves should even listen to offers at this point.
