Soo true.

Looks like were in good position to win this one. But it's the Jays, so you never know...

Zaun makes a terrible throw...

now looks like he's hurt himself making a good play to third.

n/m he looks ok.

Wells should bat leadoff more often. He just looks more comfortable when he's batting in that spot.

Overbay grounds into a double play with the bases loaded :nonono:

The guy never makes it easy, there's always gotta be 1 or 2 guys on any base and 0 or 1 out to finally wake him up. He'll be better served as a 7th inning guy next year with Wolfe and Ryan taking up 8th and 9th inning duties. Wolfe is just a great pitcher IMO. He throws strikes and has closer like stuff...I'd try out League too...if all works out, we could package Accardo and actually get a decent SS/C for him.

Hapy thiggy got the start, i'd rather see him strikeout 3 times and get more experience than zaun fly out 4 times with runners on 2nd and 1st while being the old fart he is

Well, you hit the nail on the head. Our biggest trade assets are in the bullpen where we have all kinds of quality arms. Frasor and Towers can definately go. However, before I would trade someone like Accardo, I would wait to see what Ryan does when he comes back (and League when/if he gets back to form).

Nice come back in the 9th, but same old **** afterwards. Twice in the late innings they had two men on and couldn't do anything with it. Some of the next few series are against some tough opponents. Let's hope it doesn't get too embarrassing.

Wow I just saw the highlight - Stairs took that pitch out of the dirt Vlady style.

That's what I love about Stairs relative to these Blue Jays hitters. His approach is to swing agressively, albeit a bit wildly, so that he can turn even pitches that fall out of the strike zone into hits. I think his bat speed allows him to get away with this approach. Most of the Jays hitters, on the other hand, can't do anything with pitches if they're not in a certain area.

And that's the reason right there the Jays are not agressive at the plate. Really, only Stairs and Wells have a bat that's quick enough to take a ball off their shoes and hit it out. Hill could maybe get a double ;)

The rest have very slow swings, Zaun Thomas Glaus Overbay Johnson McDonald etc don't hav quick bats IMO and should be another area addressed in the offseason...try to find a few quick bats.
