And then I hear stories about parents waking up early in the morning on a Saturday to drive their kids through a snowstorm to their extracurriculars and I am thankful I'll be warm and cozy in my bed instead.
Same, brother. Been 7 years of marriage. I'm entering a new decade of age. My dad was incredible and I feel like becoming a father would be the highest honor I could show him. But I come home from work and do whatever the **** I want. I eat whatever I want. I sleep and wake whenever I want to. I like the freedom of not having another human being that I need to take care of (beyond those of my wedding vows) and it's tough to imagine that changing.
