Shoot, just get Russell Westbrook. If you're going to go max you may as well get an over-30 max player with an attitude problem.

I remember the frenzy people were getting at the thought of Westbrook. Like near full hysteria, it was so palpable. And if you criticized the move you were immediately belittled because we HAD to make this move because of Blake’s age or some nonsense. Or...we don’t since Blake and Russ don’t fit and he’s severely overpaid to chuck... Which is proving right with his season this year.

That’s my personal realgm highlight of the 2010s. The vindication of being against that trade and Josh Smith.

I may be wrong but iirc the general consensus at the time was that we pretty much outbid ourselves for a guy that didn't fit on the team, with some posters partially in self-denial waiting to see how it went on the court. Feels like he become hated (as a player), and rightfully so, as quickly as any FA in recent memory here.
